Vehicle Detail

This extremely rare one-owner 2008 BMW K1200S is the German equivalent of a Hyabusa. It is big, comfortable, quiet, smooth and shockingly fast. With 167 HP and almost 100 ft-lbs of torque this bike is one of the fastest motorcycles available. And it still gets over 50 MPG at 75 MPH. While there are bikes that are faster around a racetrack, (like BMW's own S1000RR) in the real world down a road you don't know you'd better be a really good rider on a really fast bike to keep up. And this is a bike I've ridden a 1000 miles in a single day. Try THAT on your CBRR or GSXR... This bike has never been dropped, wrecked or damaged in any way. It is treated like a member of the family and it shows! It has an easy 45k highway miles on it. NADA says average retail is $10300. I am willing to sell it for roughly half that. I've found my next bike so it is time for this one to go. I'll pick you up in Salt Lake City and you can ride it literally anywhere in the country. With shaft drive, a big comfy seat and ABS you can easily ride all year long. I have a heated jacket that plugs into the bike that I will include at no charge as well as a great day pack tank bag. The bike has Helibars which bring the handlebars up and back making a huge difference in the riding position. A super-comfy AirHawk seat cushion makes 12 hour rides a breeze. The tires are new this year, brake fluid was just flushed last month and the antifreeze, plugs and valve adjustment was done about a year ago. The cam chain tensioner has been updated as well and this is IMPORTANT. Brake pads have about 5k miles on them, and they are only the 2nd set that has been on the bike. Always maintained by BMW dealers, it has had outstanding service from new. As a driving instructor for BMW, Porsche and Ferrari I'd also be glad to help you come to terms with a bike that will accelerate from 100-150 MPH in less than 5 seconds. Look at mproved.com/gt.htm for a wonderful example of this. I ride it correctly, maintain it fanatically. Don't let the highway miles scare you. This thing is an absolute ball to ride. I put another 300 miles on the bike yesterday and it could have been YOU... Summer is here - are you ready?
