Up for auction is a 1985 Honda ATC Big Red 250 ES. 5 speed manual shift with reverse, electric start, along with a backup kick start. This Big Red is a one owner, adult owned from original purchase. This Big Red has spent its entire life in the dry Texas Hill Country and has always been garage stored since day one. The Big Red has always been ridden in a responsible manner, and has never been in water deeper than couple inch deep road puddles, and has never been mudding or anything the like. It was used mainly to ride around the limestone roads on the ranch. But now at this point and age in his life, the owner (my dad) much prefers the comfort of an air conditioned truck when riding around to view wildlife, so the Big Red is up for sale. As shown in the picture, and as a testament to being only one owner adult owned, both sets of original keys come with the Big Red, along with all of its original paper work including original owner’s manual and owner’s supplement. Also included is the later issued 1988 Honda Safety letter and envelop, including the 2 safety stickers. This Big Red is in excellent condition and starts, runs, and operates great. The tires are in good condition as shown in the pictures (newer rear tires), the original tool kit is still under the seat, brakes work great, the front headlight including hi and low beams and the rear taillights work. Overall the Big Red is in very good condition with only normal adult wear from riding as shown in the pictures. The only cosmetic item worth mentioning is the right rear mud flap which has been spliced as shown in the close up picture. This is a very nice 3 wheeler in great condition mechanically and cosmetically, but of course being 28 year old, no warrantees. The Big Red is currently located in Texas City, Texas and can be picked up in person, or shipped at the buyer’s expense. The buyer is responsible for making shipping arrangements. If picking up in person, cash or a certified bank check is required for payment. If shipped, payment funds must clear before the Big Red is shipped.
