This 1999 Ford Taurus SE is being sold by the Manteno (Illinois) Police Department as a seized vehicle. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS and WITHOUT any warranties or guarantees. The vehicle is in running condition. Further information: - 99,885 miles - one key and functioning key fob - functioning power windows, locks, and mirrors - functioning power adjustable driver’s seat - functioning headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and windshield wipers - fair tire condition with spare “donut” and jack in trunk - functioning stock am/fm radio and 6 disk cd changer - there is no owner’s manual - “service engine” dash light is on - sounds like exhaust work may be needed - dent on hood - various scratches and rub marks on the body and bumper (see pictures) Any features/functions not listed above may not have been tested/checked while in Manteno Police Department custody. As such, do not assume any features/functions are working unless stated above. The Manteno Police Department is selling this vehicle as “pick-up” only, and can’t help with shipping arrangements or costs. On May-20-13 at 12:50:07 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A test drive of the Taurus revealed that there is a "shimmy" in the front end while driving, and the car pulls to the left. This vehicle has not, and will not, be inspected by a mechanic while in the custody of the Manteno Police, so the the cause for the above condition is unknown. This vehicle will remain up for auction as an "AS-IS" vehicle. However, anyone who has already bid on this may retract their bid in light of this new information. As stated before, anyone wishing to inspect the car themselves may do so with an appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience this new information may have caused.
