1979 Suzuki GS1000S Original condition! Here is an opportunity to own a piece of Japanese motorcycle history…one of the original limited production Japanese sport bikes... only 21,840 original miles! And it’s being sold with NO RESERVE!!! I am in the process of helping a good friend thin out his vintage motorcycle collection. In the process we are selling this 1979 Suzuki GS1000S with no reserve… only a very realistic and reasonable starting bid! This bike has a clear title and has always been stored in a climate controlled environment. The current owner is the original owner and has always respectfully ridden this bike. This is of course an extremely limited production Wes Cooley Replica that was produced for only 2 years (1979 and 1980). This is also Suzuki’s first production bike to include the small race fairing, not to mention the start of the whole production super sport racer/road bike! This particular bike was very well taken care of, but, does have normal age related patina. Please look at the photographs closely to view the minor blemishes. I have included photographs of the minor seat flaws, the small crack on the left side of the windshield, dent and scuffs on the left side exhaust, as well as the “crazing” of the tank strips, etc. Again, please inspect the photographs closely… Even with the minor blemishes on this bike… If you consider how abused and used up most of these bikes were… It looks phenomenal!!! The bike was last licensed in 1996, but, has been started and ridden around the neighborhood often. The bike does start with a touch of the starter button! Everything electrical appears to work fine, brakes are good, and tires appear to not be weather checked... just worn a bit.
