Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 1941 Ford Truck: Used in WW2 Living History Reenactments I am selling my truck that I built for WW2 reenactments. The Cab is from a 1941 Ford Truck. The Chassis is from a 1936, Ford Truck. The engine is a 38-39 Ford Flat Head with a 3 speed standard transmission. I built the bed about 2007. Yes, it does RUN and Drive. I built this for reenactments, so I was never worried about having every little dent and scrap taken out. I wanted it to look like it was actually in the war. Overall it is in good shape. I planned on continuing the restoration of the truck, to make it more accurate to what you would see the WW2 Germans using, but I no longer have the time to mess with it. I have taken the truck to many events and had many reenactors crammed in the bed. The engine has been mostly rebuilt. I put a new carburetor, gasket kit, plugs and wires, etc. I converted it to an alternator because the generator was a huge pain in the neck. I had a custom aluminum fuel tank built for it and is mounted under the bed. The truck bed is approximately 7’ wide x 11’ long. I built the entire bed of pressure treated wood so it would last. The troop benches might need some additional support because the have seen some use. I designed the bed so the sides can fold down if you unbolt the troop benches. Overall the bed is in great shape because I built it to last. I put the military style non-directional tires on the truck in about 2008. They are still in excellent shape. They probably have less than 50 miles driven on them. The paint job is based on the late war design used by the WW2 German forces. There are no windows in the door, and I do believe the windshield and rear window are the original, but I have no idea. I have always stored the truck inside my shop to protect it from the elements, and also to protect from people. It always draws a crowd. The wiring is still is all new, but I would suggest redoing them anyways. I made each wiring harness as I went, so they are not pretty, but they are functional. The front NOTEX light is real, and it does work, I just never wired it up. I am selling the truck as is. There is NO title for the truck, because I never planned on getting it street legal, so I never needed one. Please contact me for any additional information or pictures.
