Vehicle Detail
Here is what I have to offer. This is a nice rare 1989 Dodge Dakota Convertible with only about 2600 made. This truck is an original exotic red truck with black top and burgundy interior. I have owned this truck for 7 years and it has been babied, kept up, improved and garage kept. The body is in great shape with minor scratches and door dings like a 24 year old car in original condition will have. Whenever I have oil change or work done the mechanics ask me if it is from the south because of how strong and solid this car is. Came from Florida and Missori When I bought this is was in good condition, but needed to be brought up to speed. I have over $5500 in repairs (all done by service stations) and improvements since my ownership. A lot of these receipts are for improvements. I have receipts for everything. I will include these receipts. Let me tell you what has been done. The A/C was serviced (expansion valve and drier) and converted R-134 in 2006. Also the front brakes and inner tie rods were replaced and the drums were turned. In 2007 the truck was tuned up, new wiper motor, new stabilizer links, belts, and the trans was service and had the tail bearing replaced. Within the last two years I had the cooling system updated with a new radiator, water pump, hoses and thermostat. At the same time I had the oil pump replaced (and filter) and of course the oil pan gasket. Last year the tires were replaced and they have less than 3000 miles on them. Now I want to list the improvements. These were not required but it makes the truck stand out. Both bumpers have been replaced and powder coated. The hood, like most 1980’s dodges, was starting to peel so I had it painted and blended in. The top is impressive it was custom made with a real glass window NOT the plastic window. The bed is a sprayed Rhino liner (new). I use this truck for personal yard work so I had a hidden hitch installed. Finally a new radio/cd player installed and a new dash pad installed. I will include the original radio in case you want to put it back. Even has the original floor mats. The only things to be aware of is that there is an oil leak which has most likely been there for 20 years. I have never had to add oil, it is a drip. Also there are door dings and small scratches because it has the original paint and is 24 years old. Finally, the fog lights do not work. This is a real steal, with a very solid truck with over great updates. I will take serious offers through EBAY. Please contact me. I have this truck listed locally and will pull this from EBAY if it sells locally. I have this car in a third garage so I can store it for up to 2 months (FREE), BUT must be paid first by money order or cashier’s check. Must put $500 down, within 24 hours through PayPal. I am not going to list hundreds of pictures, but I will send and specific pictures you want. Please ask. Finally, this is my fun toy so I drive it to work every day during the summer. This means by the end of the auction I will have put 50 miles on it each day. Please be aware that the odometer will be about 500 higher than it currently says. Once it sells I will stop driving it. There is a reserve-sorry I need to do this. You can't go wrong with this one. Near Chicago if you want to see it.
