Here it is, the end result of one too many Bourbons at an Antique Motorcycle auction. Now don't get me wrong, I really love old motorbikes. (Too much if you ask my wife.) Anyway I bought the bike with the intention of refurbishing it and selling it onward. The fact is I have way to many projects and the likely hood of me doing anything with it in the next decade is rather remote. So I'm offering the project to you to have some fun with. The Panther Motorcycle was built by Phelon and Moore from 1924 until 1967. There is an active club that has many resources to aid restoration. This is a pre-war example sold to me as a 1935, but a real Panther man would suss the exact year out I'm sure. A twin pipe 250 is a sporting bike and this old girl is plenty cute, check out that brass carb! It has no doubt had a few prangs in it's life so please expect it is not an "original" or "unmolested" motorbike. Rather a wonderful example of a motorbike that might have served a young airman while defending his country from the Nazi's in the war. A real piece of history you can have a bit of fun with. Besides every other bike is an AJS, BSA, Norton or Triumph at the shows these days, dare to be different! It does not run currently, but that's part of the fun you will have! I am unable to crate and ship this bike, I'd prefer you pick it up. I will help deliver it up to 250mi in the back of my pick-up truck, you pay my fuel, about $100.00, I'll donate the time. On May-11-13 at 08:17:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several requests for a Right side picture, so I posted one for you all. I also had many questions about the condition of the engine and trans. The engine turns over and has compression, the Trans has 4 speeds and seems to shift fine, with a loooong lever throw.
