Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking at my listing. I purchased this bike in October 2010 from a local BMW dealer with a mileage of 52828 and enjoyed almost 10,000 trouble free miles on it. As you can see on the pictures, the bike is in good shape for a 23 year old bike. It has the original BMW saddle bags, trunk and windshield. The only visible after market accessory I added is the Corbin seat (at approx. 53000 miles). I still have the original BMW (low) seat that came with the bike and will give it to the successful bidder for free. The rear tire (Dunlop D404) was installed a year ago and has approx. 5000 miles. It will probably last for another 1000 miles. The front tire (Metzeler ME880) was installed 10 months ago and has approx. 2900 miles. It will probably last for another 5000 miles. I would recommend switching to a long lasting ME880 at the rear when a new tires becomes due. The last oil change was done less than 5000 miles ago. The last valve check/adjustment and brake fluid flush was done by a BMW shop less than 4600 miles ago. Gear box and final drive oil was changed approx. 8500 miles ago. The fuel filter was replaced also at that time. Spark plugs, air filter and breather hose were replaced less than 4600 miles ago.I had new Progressive fork springs installed and also a new rear shock (Progressive 412). The brake pads are in decent shape. As typical for these bikes, the front does vibrate when the front brakes are applied very hard. The bike's original color was red. It was professionally repainted by the dealer to BMW silver because the previous owner had damaged the paint on the tank during a brake fluid change. I have received several positive comments about the paint and the general looks of the bike. The right handlebar weight was missing when I bought the bike. It never bothered me and there are hardly any engine vibrations on a K75, so I didn't get a new one. The bike starts right away (cold and hot) and runs very smooth. I have done many day tours and a few overnight trips on it. I also have the owner manual and tool kit.The main reason for selling is that I want to switch back to a boxer engine and would like to have ABS. I have been riding various BMW motorcycles for more than 20 years and more than 150,000 miles.Thank you again for looking - please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
