Vehicle Detail

Nice pearl white 1955 Chevy, 2 door 210. This car was restored about seven years ago, and basically stored the whole time until I bought it. It has a beautiful red and white, soft, fake leather interior. The entire interior was redone, including the headliner. It still looks like it was done yesterday, and was definately professionally done, as it is absolutely a beautiful interior. The dash is original, but has a new aftermarket steering wheel, correct for a 55, but just a little smaller than the original. All glass is in great shape, with just a little fogging on the bottom corners of the windshield. They all roll up and down smoothly. The body was also redone, and painted in nice pearl white. I would rate it a #3 paint job. Although it looks very nice, the painter wasn't as good as the person who did the interior. There has been a little body work done, but is covered well. From 5 feet away it looks flawless, but I don't want to misrepresent the paint job, so I'm stating it is not a professional paint job. I'm no professional judge myself, but the car is extremely straight looking down the sides. There is no rust on the body. The chrome looks to be original, and in very good condition. The bumpers also look original, but I may be wrong. They are solid as new, and very nice, but not quite as bright chrome as new. All doors, trunk, and hood in great shape, and all shut nice and snug. Rims and tires in excellent condition. This car supposedly has the original 265 V8 engine, rebuilt, and purrs like a kitten. It does have dual exhaust, so sounds really nice. It was originally an automatic car, according to the indicator on the steering column, but it now has a manual Hurst 3 speed on the floor. It runs strong, shifts good, and has a strong clutch. It has a very small 2 barrel carb, maybe even original. I put the big air cleaner on it just to make it look like a 4 barrel. The only fault it has is it"s very cold blooded on cold starts. The choke is not working, so I think that's the problem. Other than that, it needs nothing mechanicaly. It's ready to drive. The frame and underside is the ugly part of this car. Although the frame is in good shape, the car has had new drivers floor pans, and they didn't bother to clean up the old metal underneath. The car comes with original drum brakes, front and rear, and no power brakes or steering. It drives very easily, and the brakes work great. I just want you to know it's not updated to disc brakes. Although this is a beautiful car, it does need a little attention. The speedometer does not work, and the turn signal lever is missing from the steering column. It has a new aftermarket radio, but no speakers, so that needs attention also. I don't know what else I can say about this car. I've tried to be as honest as I can. It's a real beauty, and would win trophies at most local car shows. It's a "turn key' car. But it's not perfect. I do have it priced accordingly, with what I think is a low reserve. Forgot to mention, the trunk has been redone very professionally, and looks like new inside. I can have the car shipped anywhere in the United States very reasonably. If you are overseas, you will be responsible for all shipping costs. I will help every step of the way until the car is at your door. I require $1,000 deposit immediately after the auction via Pay Pal, and the balance within 7 days. Email me with any questions.Thank you and may God bless you all. Richard P.S. Just remembered. Since the speedometer does not work, I have no idea how many miles are actually on the car. The title does say 74,100 actual miles on it, so fix the speedo, which reads 74,128, and there should be no dispute about actual mileage. The title is clear, and in my name since last November. On May-02-13 at 12:11:00 PDT, seller added the following information: CORRECTION: This is NOT a 210 model. It is a 2 door Bel Air hard top. Even says Bel Air on the title. Sorry for the inconvenience, but was thinking of my 1957 Chevy 210, which I will be listing next. ALSO: I have been getting a lot of emails about the bottom of the car. I tried to add pictures, but 24 is all I'm allowed. The underside is not restored like the rest of the car. The frame is in good shape, it's just the floor pans could have been cleaned up better on the bottom when the car was done. It's very solid. It's just a little dissapointing looking underneath after looking at this beautiful car. Cleaning up the bottom would bring this up to a #2 restored car. Hope this helps. Thanks for all the questions.
