Vehicle Detail
FRESH OFF THE FARM! 1960 Impala Tudor Sport Coupe, Original 6 cylinder, three-speed on the tree, with original rear end. Texas/Arkansas car with rotten floor pans, trunk pans, and trunk lid. Surface rust in several spots and rust-out at both rear corners of rockers and top of quarters at trunk drip rail. Top has two small dents in it, deck lid is shot, and underside of drivers door has minor rust while underside of passenger door looks very good. Drivers door glass was busted out and interior is completely shot. Steering wheel center, rear speaker, quarter emblems, and dash emblem above glove box are all missing as are the two pieces of side trim on drivers side. Fender shirts are in the trunk with the original jack. Original 14x5 wheels. Frame is solid and it doesn't appear to have ever been in a major accident. Fenders and doors are both in great shape as is the hood. Previous owner bought it used in El Paso Texas in 1962 and owned it for fifty years. Would make a nice car restored but is not for the faint of heart. Does not run. PROJECT, PROJECT, PROJECT with tons of potential. Additional pictures available upon request. Dale 501-941-4034 for an honest description; nothing to hide here. Not trades please. Combine not included. On Apr-29-13 at 05:45:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Upon closer inspection of the car this weekend (with two local prospective buyers) I noticed that the hood does have some rust through on the underside front edge. Both fellows agreed that it's repairable but since I unknowingly described it as in "great" condition and it's not, I am lowering the reserve by $300.00 to compensate for it. I hope this helps those bidders that are serious. And for what it's worth, the car still has (what looks to be) 100% original paint. I'll assist the winning bidder with loading if necessary and there's no hurry with picking the car up. Good luck! Relisted due to a phantom bidder. No reserve, five-day auction. If you have zero feedback, please contact me before you bid. Thanks! Since running the first auction, a previous bidder gave me some insight on the bidding scenario and passed on to me some valid concerns/questions that interested bidders may have had. So in order to ease some suspicions, I'll explain. First, prior to the auction ending, I sent the zero feedback/history bidder an e-mail asking him to contact me or I would be forced to cancel his bid. I didn't receive a call or e-mail so I deleted his bid resulting in the auction falling short of my reserve. There was none of that buddy-bidding crap going on! I have more integrity than that. Secondly, the two "local lookers" found out about the car by word-of-mouth through the grapevine and I informed each one of them that I would NOT sell the car to them (if they were interested) until after the auction ended since I didn't list it as also "For Sale Locally" on E-Bay. I thought that only to be fair to those E-bay bidders. Bottom line is that I'm not desperate to sell nor am I trying to get rich off of this car. I bought the Chevy and a Mustang II from the estate of a friend that passed away, both project cars. I sincerely hope that someone gets the car that will find some enjoyment/use in it. Thanks.
