All proceeds from this No Reserve auction will be donated to the One Fund Boston. (onefundboston.org) This charity has been set up to help the Boston Marathon victims rebuild their lives. It has raised over 25 million in a little over one week. Every penny of the sale price goes to the fund. I will not deduct Ebay fees. This is a NO RESERVE auction with a low starting bid so please bid generously. Thank You This 1968 CD175 has been in my personal collection for about 5 years. The bike has had good care and very little use over its lifetime. Supposedly I am the third owner but I can't verify that. It has a clear Mass. title in my name and I have registered/ridden it on the road. It's no speed demon but will happily cruise along at 60 mph all day long making it a favorite with the motogirio crowd. The bike is in exceptionally nice running condition and has passed Mass. state inspections. Everything works as it should and its ready to enjoy. Here are the particulars: Totally original unrestored condition-other than the rear tube, tire and petcock.(new) Correct ribbed front tire. The footpeg rubbers show very little wear, all the cables are original and in good order. The speedo, indicator lights, directionals headlight/tail light all work properly. It has a good battery. (6 volt) The candy blue paint is very shiny, some scratches and nicks but no dents and way too nice to do over. Low 4,538 original miles, electric start-purrs like a sewing machine, just like all small Honda twins when they are in tune. Good quality chrome on tank panels, handlebars and rims. Trouble free POR 15 lined tank-no rust. I did it and its done right. Perfect original seat cover with no tears and it's still soft. Original exhaust in good shape with a few spots on the bottom fixed with Marine tex. (does not show) Has all the hard to find parts like metal spark plug covers, original plastic tank 175 badges and tail light lens, (not repros), tool kit in bag and owner's manual. This is a relatively rare bike that was produced for only one year with the cylinders canted forward. With its full flared fenders, enclosed chain and single carb it was a crossover between the Dreams of the mid 60's and the later sportier styled CB models. It was listed in the Honda catalog as a touring model- a bit of a stretch. I have seen them outfitted with hard bags and a windshield but it does not remind me of my Road Glide! This user friendly bike is easy to ride, tune and will get you comments wherever you go. It's also a great learner or cruise night bike. With its built in reliability you could even use it for daily commutes. With the popularity of classic bikes, prices are on the way up and low mileage originals are the ones to have. I have been riding, working on and collecting motorcycles for +45 years. From the pictures you can see that I don't own junk. As an active member of the Ebay community since 1999,I have never had a bad experience buying or selling. My aim is to keep it that way. I will assist with shipping and the bike can be picked up at my place of business. Please call me with any questions or concerns before you bid. 508 823-7327. Member HOG National,VJMC,BSAOCNE.
