Vehicle Detail
1970 Honda CL350 CL 350 Very Nice original bike. I purchased this bike from the original owner approx 7 years ago. He rode it very little, drained the gas and let it sit in his garage for many years. I got it, added a battery and gas , changed the oil and it started right up. It has 1900 original miles.. YES!! 1900.... Original everything except the footpeg rubbers and tires I put new tires and tube on approx 500 miles ago.. I have the original tires ( Bridgestones ) that still look great with no cracking, but I didn't feel safe with them at highway speeds. They will go with the bike in case you want to turn it into a show bike. All lights, turn signals, idiot lights and gauges work as they should. Clutch and gears shift fine. I had it out yesterday ( it started from sitting all winter in 2 kicks) and it ran great with the exception of breaking up past in the higher RPM range. Could be the fact that the battery was completely dead and I will more than likely need to buy a new one ( they don't last long ). Here the good stuff. All original bike, paint looks great with normal wear/tear ( one small ding in tank and a few very small chips), chrome looks OK. but is not mint, bolts have normal Honda chrome rust , fenders look good but do show some of the normal spotting, fork boots are original and look and feel great, chain/sprockets are original and in great condition. All cables, grips, handles are original. I really think the points are original also. i have never changed them. Tool kit is still in case. Mirroes are original and do have surface rust.Seat in mint for the year. mufflers are very nice with no holes!!!!.... gauge faces look very nice, original key and switch. Engine cases will need painting to be mint but again, the bike is original...I have the original hexagon gas cap in the garage somewhere, I did change the cap with a new one but it is round..Gas tank is clean inside. Will need petcock gasket as it is leaking after the ride. I will look into that. No oil leaks, the bike stops as it should. Still has both kick and center stand. Folks if your looking for a 100% stock Cl350 with crazy low hours, this is it. It needs some polishing on the aluminum parts to clean them up but it is an untouched 1970 Honda in the very rare color. I take this bike to town, surrounded by dozens of beautiful harley's and people come and talk to me about this bike. I wish I had a quarter for everytime someone says " I had one of these in college" or " this was my first bike." Bike is located in 50 miles South of Philadelphia and 45 miles north of Baltimore near the I95 corridore. I will help you with shipping but I will not crate. CLEAR TITLE!. I think I covered it all. More photos to comeOn Apr-22-13 at 06:22:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Mileage is actualy 1985 miles...On Apr-24-13 at 14:08:39 PDT, seller added the following information: More notes. I was out of town and just couldn't get any photos. I also looked at the bike and would like to add some notes and photos. The chrome on the bike is 43 years old and some items like the rear shock, triple tree nutm carb tops and other misc items is rusted and will not buff out. the fenders have pits and would need re chromed to be mint. The bike is 100% complete and still looks good, just not a museum bike and I didn't want someone to buy it and think it was. As far as the petcock. It was loose, seems to be good!!!1 The right carbhas a drip, I think it needs a bowl gasket. I ordered a battery, the old one is shot and the bike needs a new one to keep the juice up for the points. It should be here Friday. New photos on line, check them out... thanks,On Apr-24-13 at 15:16:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I just got an email from a buyer and they ask if the bike has been down or wrecked. It does not appear to be the case. The grips are original and they have no scuff. The bars, headlight ears and levers are straight. No blinker rash or fender rash. Pipes have no scrapes and tank is near mint minus one tiny, hardley seen ding. So, no accidents with this bike.. Battery will be here Friday, So I will have it by the weekend. They last about 2-3 years.. One more thing. I did change the rectifier ( see battery photo, it is the gray unit) but I have the red factory one. These gray ones are much better and I thought it would be a good idea. Again, this bike is as close to the day it was built as you can get and with the original tires/tubes and rectifier you could make it as it was. ( if u desire to do that).
