Vehicle Detail

I know there are quite a few great 930s out there and not to put down anyone else's car, but this is as nice a 930 as you will ever find. It is spotless inside and out. All matching numbers, pretty much all original, read on. Upgrades are to engine only and I still have the original equipment, so if you want it to be basically all original, you can get there. Exterior: Paint is near perfect. Prior owner kept a red bra, which I will include with the car, and by the way, I typically do not like, but it really protected the nose of the car. Most of these have lots of rock chips. There might be one or two, but you have to look hard. The paint, the gaps and the trim are perfect. Interior: Dash, door panels, seats, steering wheel, everything is flawless. No issues, nothing to try and hide or needs replacing. Everything works and looks exactly as it did when it rolled out of the factory. I did put black and red Coco Mats in the front and rear, but the carpet underneath and all around is perfect as well. It also has a rear deck cover in matching black with a Porsche crest on it. I have a set of lush black sheepskin covers that I kept on the seats. They are off for the pictures, but if you really want them, I will include them in the sale. Speaking of the seats, the bolsters are clean, not the typical wear marks you see on most Porsche's from this era. AC is still R15 and blows cold. You do have to refill it every couple years like most of these cars with AC lines that run up and back to the front and back of the car. Engine: Engine is all stock internally, however I have made a few modifications to increase the performance, all of which can be reversed if you so desire. Turbo is upgraded to K27, intercooler is upgraded to a Kokeln, muffler and intake system have been upgraded to Fab Speed units. The intake really cleans up the engine bay as you can see in the photos. It has a Brian Leek adjustable warm up regulator tuned to this car settings and a 1 bar boost spring. What all of this has done is take the HP from the stock 280 range and pushed it up another 75-100 HP. Not to worry, this engine can handle a ton more, but you have to break into the case and that was where I drew the line. The engine pulls strong and has no issues. All of the service is up to date, Mobil 1 15-50W always ran in the car and changed religiously. Absolutely no oil leaks from anywhere. Transmission: standard 4 speed 930 tranny. Recently flushed and filled with Swepco oil. Shifts smoothly. All of the shifter bushings have been changed in the last year or two. No syncro issues. Brakes: Almost new Hawk HPS pads and fluid is flushed every year with ATE super blue or gold rotated to assure it all gets out of the system. Rotors are in great shape. I have a set of stainless brake lines to go on it but decided against it. They will be included with the sale. Suspension: All of the bushings are in great shape. I changed the front sway bar bushings in the last year or so. The rear were still in great shape. Wheels: Classic Fuchs 7 and 9 x 16. Clean with absolutley no rash. Same with centers. Tires: Currently running Fuzion ZRi and all have good tread. These were about the only tires you could get in this size, but recently a few other companies have started making good tire replacement options. I do have a brand new pair of Michelin Sport Cups that I will include with the car. Battery: Almost new Bosch unit. Other: Includes original tool kit, jack, owners manuals, lachstift, plastic gloves, 87 literature the owner must have obtained prior to purchase and every receipt since the car was first purchased. I even have a copy of the original certificate of origin. It is in a very nice leather binder that goes with the car. The car was initially shipped into Brooklyn, but was quickly transferred to a dealer in South Florida where it has remained since new. This car has been in several photos in PCA's Panorama magazine including the cover of the August 2011 issue, OK I was cropped out, but you can see the real photo on page 62 of that issue! I promise you will not find a nicer Guards Red/Black classic Porsche 930 anywhere and this car leaves a smile on my face every time I drive it. The only reason I am selling it as I have an opportunity to pick up a similar shape slant nose 930 turbo and cannot afford to keep them both. My loss will be your gain. I know I will regret ever letting this go one day, but slant noses are so rare, I just can't let this opportunity go. This car will be a $100K car in the not so distant future. Classic cars like this are great investments. Feel free to ask me any questions I did not answer about the car.
