I am striving for 100% positive feedback. 1978 BMW R 100RS w/o fairing A very nice classic airhead that is mechanically sound and runs as good as it was meant to. Cosmetics are good but the bike shows its age with some paint chips and fade, the seat cowl has been repainted. The bike has the obvious age related scratches, decal fading, and wears marks, some of which have been touched up over the years. However it is in excellent overall shape for its age. This bike is extremely solid and runs great. Everything functions correctly. We have gone over the bike carefully as described below. We have included multiple pictures to show as accurately as possible the exact condition of the bike. There is an AGM Battery. Also Included are Krauser saddlebags with a Black luggage and parcel rack. The bags are in fair shape, they are functional; however cracks are present and would need to be sealed for inclement weather protection. In April 2013 all the fluids and filters were replaced, and tune up including carburetor rebuild, new plugs, foot rest rubbers, throttle cables, and new motor gaskets and seals. The top end of the motor refreshed, with all new seals and gaskets, it runs very good, and there are no leaks. The bike runs and handles like it is supposed to. The gas tank is clean and rust free, brakes are very good for this model with the dual discs up front. This is the 40 MM carb version, with 40mm exhaust pipes and aftermarket Dunstall style mufflers. While no beauty queen, or complete original, this is a good solid runner, with good rubber, shocks and other items as mentioned. Would make an excellent base or start for an airhead CAFÉ BIKE.
