It is an original 289 V8 Car with C4 Transmission. The car runs and drives, after installing the new carb, it does need some fine tuning or timing adjustment to get it perfect, no leaks in cooling system, or oil seals ( shows light oil seepage at valve cover gaskets, but does not drip or leave oil in the driveway.) I do have a new set of valve cover gaskets in the trunk that will go with the car along with spare belts, and hoses. This car was originally the extremely rare S code paint : Dusk Rose color (Also known as Playboy Pink!!) it was professionally painted in 2004 to its current color of metallic mystic maroon and it looks great! If you are purist, it would be great to see this car converted back to original down the road! It has been a daily driver during the summer and nice days in the cooler months and has been maintained well with regular oil changes. The paint shows beautifully but it is by no means a show car. There is a few scratches here and there along with rock chips/pits in the usual places. Most notable defects are a long single line scratch on drivers side, I have started buffing it out but have not finished. The body is extremely straight with no eye catching dents or dings I would also mention that Rust is very minimal for a Northwest car. Only place I have noticed rust is under the battery tray and light bubbling of paint near the rear pillers below the rear glass (see pictures. The Vinyl top is starting to show it's age it has a 4-5 inch tear at the seam on passenger side (again see photos) and starting to peal up at seams. I have a replacement vinyl top from Mustangs Unlimited that will be included with the car, but I have not had time to get it installed. Interior is in nice shape, and shows well, defects that come with age are minimal, most notable is the drivers bottom seat has a small split at the seam, an easy fix, just haven't had the time to do lately. I have a new carpet kit that can go with it if the price is right. Scuffs and mars throughout consistent with age and use but this is a very clean and beautiful car that turns heads! No electrical issues, lights and gauges work. As I said it is not a show car, it has minor cosmetic blemishes consistent with age and being a daily driver and I think it has the potential to be a show stopper if converted back to it's original playboy pink color. As it sits, it is a beautiful car that runs great, transmission shifts firm without slipping, is fun to drive and attracts a lot of attention. I haven't driven it much this year, as I have 66 mustang that I need to restore focus my efforts on so I need to let this one go to fund that project. Car is available for inspection and test drive with proper ID and insurance documentation before auction closes. This car is sold as is where is with no warranty. I make every effort to accurately describe the vehicle and urge potential buyers to do due diligence and arrange to see the vehicle in person or hire an independent appraiser or mechanic to report on the car BEFORE placing bids as your bids are a lawful contract to purchase the car. The time for inspections, test drives and checking it out is BEFORE auction ends and BEFORE you bid. Once auction is over YOU own it and payment is due with a $500 deposit within 24 hours and complete payment in full within 7 days. While the car runs great and has just had a full service done, remember this is a car that is almost 50 years old. I would not recommend trying to drive a classic like this cross country, I think it is far smarter to hire a transport service or trailer it home. Of course you are welcome to fly in a drive home, just offering my 2 cents worth as I think transport company will deliver for less than $1,000 coast to coast and would be far cheaper than gas, motels, plus airfare and any unforseen breakdowns. Questions, please let me know, I am happy to help but please know that arranging pickup of the car and transportation is YOUR responsibility and at YOUR cost. I can help arrange delivery within 300 Miles at a cost of $2.00 per mile on a flat bed trailer, please contact me if you are interested. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
