1980 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition Y84 T-Tops I just picked up this car last week to part out , but after going through it I realized its to nice to part !! I put new plugs in the motor 4.9 / 301 V8 and it fired right up and ran great !!! I drove it up and down the street and It shifted great , but then I lost brake pressure and noticed it was leaking fluid because of a rusty brake line . I took pics of the BAD spots and I will list what I saw Rear tail light panel is rusty very common . Inner rockers are rusty at the seems where it meets the floor pan on the passenger side , Front spring perch is rusted on passenger side as you can see in the pics , Front toe board is rusty on both sides ,and floor board brace in the middle of the floor pan on passenger side , and the hood is shot, but car comes with a rust free hood. doors are repairable with a lower skin panel ...... The GOOD ...Rear frame looks solid, floor boards look solid , inner fenders solid ,outer fenders look good , interior looks good , Runs great , good trans, all original car , The Y84 SPECIAL EDITIONS ARE GETTING HARD TO FIND !!
