If you're looking for an investment-grade F-body that isn't like everyone else's, this Butternut Yellow ragtop is a smart choice. Finding a car like this intact is a rare thing. Big block cars were usually built with just one thing in mind, but given this car's long list of options and exceptional condition, it seems to have escaped the fate that befell most of its siblings. It has been beautifully refinished in correct code Y Butternut Yellow with black SS stripes that were painted on, not replaced with decals. The result is something subtle, but if you're a Camaro guy, you spot things like the 396 badges on the front fenders, the blacked-out grille, and the stock hood with faux velocity stacks and you know this is something special. Look closely and note the highly unusual fender-top turn signal indicators, correctly-placed Camaro emblem on the trunk lid, and the beautifully restored bumpers that add a little sparkle to the otherwise low-key ragtop. Yes, this car is definitely out of the ordinary and it shows. The black interior is loaded up as more luxury car than street brawler, which is probably why it survived. The ownership history is known, and given the deluxe interior, center console with auxiliary gauges, and automatic transmission, it's clear that this car was built to someone's very specific tastes. Everything inside has been restored to a very high level, and I don't think I've ever seen seat covers with as much detail as those in this car. The woodgrained dash appliques are vivid, the gauges have bright faces and crisp markings, and it hasn't been over-dressed with aftermarket gauges or a fake woodgrain wheel, which is always refreshing. Even the original AM radio remains in the dash. Overhead, there's a black power top that folds effortlessly and stashes under a matching black boot and the trunk has been detailed for show with a space-saver spare, new mat, and complete jack setup. Still carrying its original emissions equipment (holy smokes!), the numbers-matching L35 396 cubic inch V8 was rated at 325 horsepower, which is enough to make this lightweight convertible insanely fast on the street. It was rebuilt less than 3000 miles ago and detailed to compete on the show field with correct Chevy Orange paint and all its original hardware. Accurate finishes were used throughout, including the chrome valve covers and air cleaner, which wears a reproduction decal as well. A TH400 3-3-speed automatic spins a 12-bolt rear, all of which were included with the big block V8 for durability's sake. It's as highly detailed underneath as it is everywhere else, including spotless floors, a correct exhaust system with transverse muffler, and correct finishes on all the suspension components. The factory-fresh look is finished with a set of Rallys with spinners and reproduction redline tires. Fully documented with Protect-O-Plate, restoration receipts and photos, and a reproduction window sticker, this is an investment-grade Camaro that will stand out anywhere.
