Vehicle Detail
This is a 1998 Ford Mustang GT convertible. It's triple black and is fully equipped with leather interior - power and power lumbar seats, power windows and locks cruise control, ABS brakes CD (wired for amps in the trunk) as well as ice cold a/c and has a 5 speed manual for that real performance car experience! It has the 4.6 liter V8 which actually delivers impressive fuel economy, better in fact than my V6 sedan! She's got really nice 17 inch aftermarket wheels as well as Flowmaster high performance exhausts AND catalytic converters. Just recently installed brand new brakes and rotors all around, a brand new updated aluminum high performance intake manifold (to replace the failure prone stock intake) along with all new gaskets top to bottom and front to back, engine to rear end. New radiator, new hoses, new belts, new Bosch III high performance fuel injectors, plugs and wires and a high performance clutch and flywheel and much more! Less than 100 miles since all these updates. She's got just 110k miles and runs and drives okay. However, it suddenly became sluggish shortly after buttoning up the new clutch upgrade so I did a compression test which varied from 30-60 pounds in cylinder 1. As a result, it sporadically puffs smoke from the exhaust due to incomplete combustion/oil in the cylinder. The car runs okay in its current state and is completely driveable even at highway speeds (it has some hesitation and maxed out about 70-75mph) but this is honestly what's going on with it and that's all I know. It was suggested that it may likely be something relatively simple like a stuck valve or a broken valve spring but I haven't investigated further due to a recent diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis that has me both preoccupied and quite frankly, just plain disgusted with life. I've felt so lousy that I literally had to shut the hood and just walk away. As such, she's being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. There's no other issues to the best of my knowledge, everything else has been gone over before the compression thing and it's good to go. Even has all fresh fluids throughout and no leaks anywhere. This would be perfect for anyone interested in buying and reselling as there's plenty of room for profit on this machine or if you want to do some high performance modifications to the motor and really get her just the way you want her, you'll still be way ahead of the game! You're welcome and encouraged to come by and take a look and a drive before bidding. I'm located in Kingman, Arizona which is about an hour southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. If needed, I can assist you with transporting her within a 100 mile radius which includes Las Vegas and it's suburbs.
