Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1971 Dodge Dart. It is a rust free California car. It was painted a few years ago, but it is an amateur job. It was originally gold in color. You can see sanding scratches and there is dust in the paint. It could probably be wet-sanded and buffed to improve the appearance, but I will not guarantee this as I am not a body man. All glass is good and functional. It was originally a slant six but now has a fairly fresh 360 2bbl with a freshly rebuilt 904 trans. 7.25" axle but not sure of ratio. Has new dual exhaust, motor mounts, and fuel pump. It could use a new carb as it doesn't run perfectly. I am going to look into either replacing it or rebuilding it before the auction ends. Interior is in fairly good condition. Headliner is hanging down and carpet is not correct. Dash pad was recovered with leather at some point. Has newer seats installed and were recovered to match. All gauges work except for the gas gauge. No radio, but dash has never been cut. This car will make a good father/son project or just drive it as is. Where can you buy a running and driving rust free car for a reasonable amount? I would love potential bidders to come and inspect it but I realize that is not always possible. Please ask all questions. I am selling this at no reserve. This car will sell. I need the room!On Apr-19-13 at 18:56:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I just wanted to add some information due to the volume of questions that I have received. I may have not have given a complete list of all of the positives and negatives regarding the car. The bad: Rear window stainless trim is not installed. Will need new clips to retain it. (Visible in pictures) Rear bumper is not in very good shape. A few dents and dull chrome. Front is pretty good. Previous owner took off the hood springs as he had a fiberglass hood. I have installed a carb kit, but it still doesn't run very well. May or may not have time to look at it again The good: New battery. New front shocks. New rear air shocks. New rear wheel cylinders.
