This is a Barn Find...Penton 6-Days built in February of 1972. I was planning on restoring this old 6-Days but recently purchased a 1974 Penton Wassell so I've decided to use the proceeds from this sale to fund my new Wassell restoration. I have no history on this Penton but if you look close at the pictures you'll note some period correct accessories such as the headlight bucket brackets (for the enduro config.) and fork brace. The forks are 32mm dia., not 35mm and the Inner Fork Tubes are not oxidized. The engine turns over however the compression feels a bit low (subjectively)... As you can see from the pictures, a previous owner was a bit over zealous with the application of his Black spray paint. Overall, this old 6-Days will make for a relatively easy and cost effective restoration project with NOS and reproduction parts and advice available on-line through forums such as the Penton Owner's Group.
