Up for auction from the Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This is a 1967 Mustang convertible that was transformed into a 1968 Shelby GT 350 replica convertible about 15 years ago. The story goes that a guy in Alabama had a wrecked 68 Shelby GT 350 convertible that was parted out. I do not know what the Shelby vin number is but this car retains some of the parted out Shelby. Fiberglass, roll bar instrument cluster/ dash panel, console, steering wheel, seat belts and original wheels. The car has about 10,000 miles on the rebuild. It has been in long term storage and the following has been recently replaced. Starter motor, oil change, antifreeze, tune, gas tank/ sender and carburetor rebuild. The brakes/ shocks are in fairly new condition as well as the tires. The motor starts right up, no noises, smoke or leaks, headers with turbo mufflers. The car is very road worthy, shifts through all of the gears, power steering and power disc brakes work well. The floor pans/ reinforcements, trunk drop off's, lower quarters skirts were replaced at the time of the rebuild. Body and paint are still in good condition there are a few chips, scratches and small rust in a couple of lower areas. The convertible top is in almost new condition/ power assist works fine up and down and the back plastic glass is still in nice shape. The car does need the following: sway bar bushings, turn signals repaired, temp sensor/ clock/ tack need work as well.
