Vehicle Detail
PLEASE NOTE: I will be travelling to the St Petersburg / Orlando area this weekend for business; if the buy-it-now feature is used, I will deliver between Baton Rouge and Orlando for free since I'm going that way anyway. I'm not selling this because I'm desperate for money, although it would help. I'm not selling this because my wife is harassing me incessantly about it, although it would make her stop (about this). I'm not selling this because I think my two Harleys are starting to look at me funny when I walk in the garage (I'm not THAT crazy... yet). I'm selling this because A- I'm too old to bend myself into this shape anymore despite the fact that I still love it, B- I've got too many toys and not enough time to play with them all, C- I'd like to have the space in the garage, and D- I can't stand to see this bike sitting here not being enjoyed any more. The good:Mileage is over-estimated. I re-geared the bike (AFAM +2 rear, -1 front steel 530 sprockets) at approx 2100 miles, so if i recall correctly the mileage since then has been accruing about 18% over actual. the speedometer also reads accordingly; I would just ride at the flow of traffic. Mods: I'm just going to go front to back here; and I'll probably still forget something. Carbon fiber front fender, Galfer 320mm front wave rotors, Braking HH sintered front brake pads, Galfer stainless steel braided dual front brake lines (not split at the stock junction- dual lines from the master cylinder all the way to each individual caliper), 2007 Ohlins FG-43 R/T forks sprung and valved for 225 lb geared rider (I'm 6'4"...), Zero Gravity smoked windscreen, cutoff switch for low-beam wired into circuit, DPDT (dual pole, dual throw) switch wired to fans so they are reversible and can be disabled, carbon fiber radiator air extractor fins, CRG gray "Roll-a-Click" shorty front brake and clutch levers, Galfer stainless steel braided clutch line (huge difference in feel and engagement), TurnOne carbon fiber intake snorkel, TurnOne carbon fiber airbox, quick disconnect on fuel lines, Kyle Racing PAIR block-off plates, crankcase breather filter installed (since the crankcase used to vent into the stock airbox), Delrin frame sliders, Corbin saddle, extended side-stand, Kyle Racing shock link, Harris adjustable rearsets, Ohlins R/T shock (I do not recall the model number or year of manufacture) sprung and valved for 225 lb geared rider, Galfer stainless steel braided rear brake line, Galfer stock-replacement rear wave rotor, Braking HH sintered rear brake pads, Delrin swingarm spools / sliders, Two Bros Racing "banzai" carbon C4 (round long) exhaust, Dynojet Power Commander 3-R (this is the one which allows adjustment of fuel and ignition separately), 7-zeries battery relocated to under the front header pipe (all wiring still exists for stock size 12-series battery), Battery Tender plug wired onto the battery. Extras that go with the bike include, but may not be limited to, stock airbox and filters, rear seat, front engine cowling (removed for improved airflow), swingarm stand, triple-clamp front stand with universal and RC-51 pins, stock saddle, and any other extras I have laying around. Included is the Dynojet disk and software as well as the original owner's manual. I may also have the stock tool kit laying around somewhere. If I find it, that is included as well or can be mailed to the buyer at a later date at my expense. Brake and clutch fluids have been flushed and filled with DOT-5 brake fluid. The bad:The reason for the smattering of mods at approximately 2100 miles is because the bike was down. I low-sided at 32 mph on WV-250 in 2006 shortly before I left for my second tour to Iraq, so while I was gone I basically gathered parts to rebuilt the bike when I got back. Pictures of the few known defects are attached. Small inconsequential items that were not damaged beyond usability were not replaced such as the right fairing (sustained minor scratches- see pics), the rear cowling (see pics), and the right bar-end weight (see pics). I can't get the battery to hold a charge the last few weeks so it's probably shot. The bike has, until the last four months, been started weekly and run up to operating temperature. The tank is full of Sunoco 94 octance with stabilizer so the fuel pump, filter, lines, and injectors are still good. However, starting has required a jump the last few weeks. Last summer I changed the oil from the Mobil 1 20w50 I had run since 1000 miles on the odo back to Mobil 1 "sportbike" (synthetic 10w40, I believe). The Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs are about 5 years old and should probably be replaced for safety's sake, but there is at least a few hundred miles of "get to know each other" time left of them. I haven't ever gotten a set of tires to last more than 3000 miles on any of my sportbikes; I'd put these at 20-25% tread life remaining, but would strongly recommend replacement due solely to their age. General:All parts replaced as a result of the crash were either upgraded performance parts or replaced with OEM factory parts. No cheap ebay knockoff stuff. All the extra "stuff" that I can find in the garage can go with the bike at the buyer's discretion- your option. Personally, I'd take it and sell what you don't want. Obviously, I'd love to see this go to someone that actually wants to ride it rather than cannibalize it for parts on the chop-shop market, but I can't control what you do with it once it's yours. This bike has been a mild obsession of mine since I bought it new in 2005 (it was a leftover model hiding in the back at an obscure dealership in southwestern PA) but was given a thorough going-over by the shop prior to delivery and the warranty was honored in full. All work was done by me (I've been riding longer than I'd care to remember), my friend (an A&P certified aircraft mechanic and SAE-certified automotive mechanic), or DiStefano's Performance Center in Imperial PA (awesome little shop, I highly recommend getting to know Joe and his wife if you have the opportunity- Binelli retained him as the US-based tech support for their expanding import line and he has worked directly with Eraldo Ferracci). I am the original owner. This is the fourth time I'm listing the bike. Please obtain funds and / or family consent if applicable prior to bidding- if you are looking at this and understand what I've written above, you know what the bike and aftermarket parts are worth. Please do not ask me to deliver the bike for free 10 hours away if you win- be reasonable. I'm willing to work with you, but I'm not taking the short end of the stick. Bike is located in my garage in the Baton Rouge, LA area (recently relocated here and simply haven't re-registered it) and has been garaged since purchased new. I can work with you on delivery for a fee. The bike has not been on a race track of any type (despite my best efforts), stunted, or abused. I have a clean and clear PA title in hand. If you'd like additional pictures or information, please feel free to contact me. Please note that due to the nature of my current employment, it may take up to a day to get back to you. $500 deposit due within twenty-four (24) hours of auction end via PayPal, cash, certified cashier's check, or Postal Money Order. Balance due within seven (7) business days or upon delivery, whichever is sooner, via cash, certified cashier's check, or Postal Money Order. If you have a feedback score less than ten (10), please contact me before bidding. This item offered for sale in as-is, where-is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. I will help with shipping to the extent possible given my employment and personal constraints. I encourage and welcome inspection in person or via qualified neutral third party (EG a licensed or certified professional in the motorcycle industry) at your expense and arrangement. Test rides are available if sufficiently coordinated, with a security deposit of the full buy-it-now amount in the form of cash, certified cashier's check, or Postal Money Order, your vehicle keys, and a signed waiver of liability, proof of insurance and motorcycle operator's license endorsement (not learner's permit), and agreement to purchase at buy-it-now price if any damage occurs regardless of fault. Thanks for looking! On Apr-11-13 at 15:19:41 PDT, seller added the following information: i'd like to add the following, which i should have specified above. if the buy-it-now feature is used PRIOR TO MY DEPARTURE FRIDAY EVENING, i'll deliver it along the route between the Baton Rouge LA area and the St Petersburg FL area; on the way back would probably be more convenient for both of us. if this happens to occur on a sunday and we can't transfer the title at a notary, i'll leave the signed title with you along with my contact information (obviously, you'll also be able to verify that i'm me). however, i've got a schedule all day saturday in St Pete and thus i will be under two limited windows for delivery coming and going. again, i'll work with you to the extent possible, but please be reasonable.
