For sale my father in laws Datsun Fairlady 2000. He has owned it for the past 12 years - it was inherited from his uncle. Owners before this are unknown. He is selling it because he has other other projects that require his attention!The car runs and drives fine although it does need some work. Below are a list of known issues as well as recent work that has been done on the car: First the good stuff!Car was re-painted 5 years ago in its original color - although the trunk lid does not match. Paint generally is good but starting to show her age.Head was rebuilt 7 years ago.Convertible top is only 4 years old.Frame is in great shapeGood strong engine - always starts.Matching numbers.Original rare vertical radio - but not working right now.Car shifts well in every gear - no crunching.Original luggage rack still with the car.She has always been stored in the garage for the winter months. Several cracks in the paint.Much of the chrome (head light bezels and rear light bezels) need attention.Starter has a flat spot - occasionally you have to tap the ignition a few times so it will engage with the flywheelDrivers side front brake piston needs a rebuild as it is leakingThe firewall behind the brake master cylinder is cracking (a common problem with his car.)Throw out bearing is noisy but fineThe original cover for the roof when it is stowed is included but needs replacing as it has shrunk.No spare tire. This is a nice car to play with - she does need work but all the parts are there. I have tried to give an accurate description of the car.
