I'M GOING TO RUN THE RISK AND LET THIS CAR GO AT NO RESERVE AGAINST WHAT MY WIFE SAYS. GOOD LUCK THIS MODEL IS GETTING HARDER TO FIND. CHEVROLET HAS SAID THAT THE 1959 WAS THE WILDEST MODEL THEY HAVE EVER CAME OUT WITH. I WILL TRY TO GO THROUGH EACH PANNEL AND SEPCIFICALLY EXPLAIN EACH SECTION SO WHEN YOU BID YOU KNOW TRUELLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING UNLIKE SO MANY AUCTIONS ON EBAY. I HAVE TAKEN A LIGHT MAGNET TO THE WHOLE CAR AND HAVE FOUND ALL THE FILLER. I WILL USE THE WORD FILLER BUT THAT CAN MEAN A LOT OF THINGS LIKE BONDO OR HOWEVER YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT, BUT JUST BECAUSE IT HAS SOME IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE IT WAS PAINTED SO IT STILL LOOKS GREAT! IT CAN BE CALLED FIBERGLASS OR BONDO OR FILLER. THE PAINT JOB WAS GOOD BUT A FEW SPOTS SMALL THE PRIMER DIDNT HOLD SO THE PAINT CHIPPED A LITTLE, I HAVE EXPLAINED BELOW. I HAVE SET THE RESERVE LOWER THAN ANY OTHER LISTING ON HERE FORSURE FOR THE CAR, THIS CAR LOOKS AWESOME AND HAS MINIMAL FLAWS. THE INTERIOR: THE THINGS THAT ARE ALL IN GOOD SHAPE ARE THE CARPET DASH IS LIKE NEW BUT ORIGINAL AND ALL MATCHING GAUGES, DOOR PANELS ARE NOT RIPPED BUT ARE MISSING THE ARMRESTS ALL 4 ARE MISSING, THATS THE ONLY THING THE INTERIOR NEEDS. THE HEADLINER IS GOOD AND THE GLASS IS GOOD, LEATHER IS NEW A FEW YEARS AGO. THE SEATBELT THAT IS SHOW IS NOT ATTACHED, AS THEY ARE NOT NEEDED HERE. THE HORN IS A LITTLE WEAK. STEARING WHEEL IS LIKE NEW. THE WINDOW MECHANISMS WORK PERFECT ALL THE WINDOWS ROLL DOWN AND THE FRONT TWO LITTLE ONES OPEN AND WORK LIKE THE SHOULD! EXTERIOR LIGHTS: ALL LIGHTS WORK EXCEPT PASSENGER SIGNAL BULB NEEDS REPLACING, AND LIGHTS BLINK INSIDE WHEN I SIGNAL. THE HOOD: HAS TWO BUBBLES ON THE MIDDLE RIDGE ONE HAS CRACKED THROUGH AND ONE IS JUST A LITTLE BUBBLE SMALLER THAN A DIME. DRIVER AND PASSENGER FENDER: THERE IS FILLER NEAR THE HEADLIGHT AND BUMPER AND ON ANGLE EDGE BEHIND TIRE BUT NOT AT THE BOTTOM EDGE WHERE IT WOULD NORMALLY BE. DRIVERS DOOR IS GREAT AND THE SILL IS GOOD TOO, THE DOOR CLOSES LIKE NEW PASSENGER DOOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND NO REAL CONCERN, SHUTS LIKE NEW, LIGHT SCRATCH IN MIDDLE OF PANEL ON DOOR VERY LIGHT BUT ABOUT 3". DRIVERS REAR QUARTER: HAS FILLER IN FRONT OF REAR TIRE AND ALSO BEHIND REAR TIRE AND UNDER THE WING EDGE, ALSO WHERE PAINT IS MISSING BUT HARD TO SEE SINCE UNDER THE WING UNLESS YOU BEND TO LOOK. GRILL: IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND NO BENDS IN IT. PASSENGER REAR QUARTER: SEEMS TO BE GOOD, JUST A LITTLE FILLER JUST IN FRONT OF THE REAR TIRE BUT NOT MUCH. HEADLIGHT BEZELS: HAVE A FEW SCRATCHES BUT EASY TO REPLACE. ROOF: IS GOOD, HAS ONE SPOT THAT IS THE SIZE OF MY FIST, THAT THE PAINT DIDNT TAKE IN ONE SPOT AND PEALED IM GUESSING. i TAPED OFF AND SPRAYED A WHITE PRIMER TO SEAL IT AND BECAUSE I USED WHITE IT REALLY HARD TO SEE FROM A FEW FEET. TRUNK AREA: TRUNK LID PAINT IS MISSING ON THE CENTER RIDGE, SHOULD BE EASY TO FIX, THERE IS SOME FILLER ON BOTTOM EDGE WHERE THE BUMPER COVERS. TRUNK INSIDE: THRUNK IS GREAT! NO SPARE, OR JACK, FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS IT HAS BEEN OPEN IN GARAGE SO THE MOISTURE CANNOT STAY INSIDE AND ROT AWAY. A LITTLE FILLER ON DRIVERS SIDE INSIDE TRUNK. LOOR PAN AREA: FLOOR PANS SEEM SOLID AND I DONT'T THINK THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT ALL, AND ARE NOT SOFT. CHROME ALL AROUND: ONLY SPOT IS DRIVERS REAR BUMPER HAS A SMALL DENT AND A LITTLE RUST UNDER TAILLIGHTS ON CHROME, SMAE SPOT ON PASSENGER SIDE WHERE CHROME IS MISSING A LITTLE. ENGINE: 235 CU IN 3.9L BLUE FLAME 6CYL ENGINE. IT IS MOST LIKELY THE MATCHING ENGINE FOR THE CAR. THE GOOD PART IS THAT WITH A SMALLER ENGINE IT WAS MOST LIKELY NOT BEATEN LIKE MOST WERE AND ITS HARD TO FIND MATCHING ANYMORE, IT WOULD NOT TAKE MUCH TO PUT THE 348 IN IT, I JUST DIDNT WANT TO SEPERATE THE WHOLE SETUP. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: SEEMS TO BE ALMOST ALL ORIGINAL PARTS, AND THE BATTERY IS FROM 2011. TRANSMISSION IS A 2 SPEED POWERGLIDE, MOST LIKELY ORIGINAL EXHAUST: IS GOOD AND NO HOLES. FRAME ON CAR: FRAME IS GOOD AND SOLID, I DONT SEE AND PATCH JOBS OR ROTTING ANYWHERE, JUST MAINLY SURFACE RUST. GAS TANK: IS IN GOOD SHAPE BRACKETS ARE GOOD TOO. FRONT END: IT ALL WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD AND TURNS GOOD, DOES NOT HAVE POWER STEERING BUT DOES HAVE POWER BRAKES. WHEELS: ARE A NICE SOLID STYLE WHEEL NO CHIPPING WITH POINTED CENTER CAPS. TIRES: ARE INDY 500 BY FIREHAWK AND ARE ALMOST NEW AND ALL TREAD IS THERE GLASS ON THE CAR: ITS ALL IN GREAT SHAPE AND GOOD THING CAUSE IT IS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE, THERE IS ONLY ONE VERY SMALL CHIP HE SIXE OF A PEN TIP ON WINDSHIELD BUT NO CRACKS SO ITS NOTHING BAD. HARD TO SEE. WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK GREAT.
