This Porsche has been owned by our family for all but two days of its life. The story goes that it was originally purchased by an Editor of Sports Illustrated for his wife/girlfriend. Two days later it showed back up to the dealership where my father-in-law was working because she couldn’t figure out the manual shift. He purchased it that day and we have owned it since then. It was given to me after his death in 1994 and has less than 100 miles on it since so very low miles. The last time I drove it, 2003, it ran great. Things I know; It has never been restored. It is all original except for the radio. It has air conditioning. It has the original manuals and tool kit. It spent all of its life in the west, rarely driven in winter, and with no salt on the roads. My father-in-law was not good with fuel injection so he put on carbs.
