Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I am selling my 1972 Suzuki Titan T-500 motorcycle. This bike has only 4692 original miles. I have owned this bike for 5 years and put lots of time, money, and sweat into making her look beautiful! I owned one of these bikes in High School and for several years after. This is a very reliable motorcycle and runs better than a 500cc, 41 year old bike should! I have tried to keep everything stock with the exception of the expansion chambers and the rear rack. The rack is an Arthur Fullmer that I purchased brand new in its original 1970s packaging 3 years ago. It fits this bike perfectly and gives me a place to carry small items. The expansion chambers are polished stainless steel from Titan Performance in England. They are beautiful and sound wonderful! They have removable baffles. They sell for $561 plus shipping. I couldn’t resist! See them here http://www.classic2strokesuzuki.com The engine has had new crankshaft seals installed and has great compression. I installed new points, plugs, and condensers and they are set correctly. The transmission has been modified to use 1400cc of fluid instead of 1200cc by adding a small “dam” inside. This modification was done to later model years to increase gear life. The clutch was replaced last year and I installed Barnett heavy duty springs to increase its life. The carburetors have been rebuilt and rejetted to accommodate the expansion chambers. They have brand new factory floats installed. I installed a brand new petcock for the gas tank. All of the cables have been replaced and are the correct gray color. The turn signals are new from Suzuki, not cheap Chinese replacements. I installed a new O-ring chain. The tires are Avon Roadriders and are excellent. The brakes are in good shape and work well for drums. The auto-feed oil system works perfectly and means that you never need to pre-mix oil and gas. I have polished the cases, brake plates, forks, etc. The chrome is in very good condition. The seat is perfect. There is a brand new tool kit behind the left side cover. The battery is in good condition and I installed an SAE connector to attach a maintainer. The previous owner had the tank and side covers painted. There are 2 small dents at the very front of the tank caused by the fork clamps hitting when the tank was not installed correctly. They are shown in the pictures, but are not very noticeable. The 1972 T-500J model is unique. The 2 tone paint and large 500 emblems set it apart from other years. Suzuki made T-500s from 1970-1976. I always get lots of looks and questions when I ride this bike. And the sound!!! Unlike any other bike on the road! Here is a chance to own something truly unique. I am selling to complete another project and will miss this bike. Good luck bidding! I will need $500 deposit within 24 hours and would prefer cash for the balance. We can talk about arrangements if you win the auction. Shipping or pickup is up to you.
