Vehicle Detail

1965 Ford F100 Custom Cab Pick up. This is a California farm truck. Stored for years when we brought it home. Flushed the gas tank and carb, some new brake hoses and battery and the 352 fired right up. Now that it runs we started the listing. Will attempt some fine tuning as the listing runs. This desirable truck has patina 45 years in the making and although it has that standard spotty surface rust from thin paint we find no rust-out holes. Drive it like it is for that great patina rat truck look, or restore it as it is a fine example of an original truck that has not been chopped up or rusted out. You can see it is a solid California truck. Fender tips, rockers etc are all solid. The lights and turn signals, heater fan and wipers work. The owner stated that he remembers at least rebuilding the heads before it was stored. It is obvious some engine work has been done as the engine is cleaner than the rest of the truck. The side trim is in the bed. Tires are large all-terrain type but have good tread left. Old California pink slip title in hand. We have a 100% feedback for being fair. Bid what you think its worth and please no regrets. For those who just have to own this truck, we are always interested in hearing what you think its worth to you. Pay attention to the payment terms. Deposit in 24 hrs and full payment in 3 days. We move to the next buyer when terms are not met. Can store the truck for 30 days or more but payment must be made on time please. This is a NO RESERVE and AS-IS listing as we have not had the truck long and do not know everything about it. It has to be as-is and no complaints for this kind of money. Thanks On Mar-31-13 at 10:16:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Update as of Sunday March 31. We ran the truck up and down the road. Brakes work, oil press gauge and amp meter work. Trans shifts. The engine idles smooth but runs a little rough at higher speeds. Some popping, so still a little fuel starved or timing. Full carb rebuild is indicated. But the truck runs so it will need a good all-around tune up. That is about all we wanted to test for this price. You can't complain for this kind of money. It is-what-it-is. It is a very good start for someone wanting a great original California truck to restore. I would not tell you what to do with it but but I would tune it up, new tires, and sand and rub down the paint and drive it with patina. High bid gets it. On Apr-01-13 at 07:21:30 PDT, seller added the following information: We are interested in the truck selling with no issues. If a bidder has no, or little feedback or some significant neg feedback issues then it is best that they contact us to discuss the bidding and purchase. Never had an issue and never want one, but an ebayer with one or 2 transactions and no good feedback might have their bid removed. Thanks for being ethical. On Apr-02-13 at 10:15:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Some questions coming in about the engine and trans, running gear etc. I posted the data tag picture but it is hard to see. To answer the questions that were asked about the tag: The color is TM The trans is G The axle is 07 The net HP is 172 @4000RPM The number at the top of the tag is F10DR710389 and this number was used on the title and the old registration as the vehicle number. On Apr-06-13 at 22:15:33 PDT, seller added the following information: An out of state buyer as well as a buyer from overseas had desired to have the title come direct from me. The truck now has a current California registration as well as being titled to me. So there are no issues of a 2 party sale. For those asking about driving the truck any distance I would not recommend that. It has just come out of storage. It runs, goes, and stops but must be completely sorted through and repaired if needed. The listing tells rather well what you have there.
