Vehicle Detail
Beautiful example of a super clean 1975 CB750 K5. The bike is as described and shown in the photos. Bike runs strong and sounds like a Ferrari. The bike is titled in Ohio but is currently in Dallas Texas and needs to be picked up in Dallas 75001. Buyer pays all shipping cost. I have taken very good care of this bike and have supporting documentation from last December 2012 when I had the bike at an authorized Honda dealership for end of year check and full servicing. Last summer I put approximately 6,000 miles on the bike and it ran flawlessly, and I mean flawlessly. During that time I put the 6,000 miles on the bike I had the oil changed once after 3,000 miles and again at the full service at 6,000 miles. At no time did I need to add any extra oil to reservoir. The reason I tell you this is that the only thing I know of that is wrong with the bike is that it has a very minor head gasket leak, which as you likely know is common to these vintage bikes. I had three different Honda mechanics tell me the leak did not warrant a gasket change, and that is why the gasket was not replaced. You will get a drop of oil after riding the bike. If you look very closely at the fins on the engine you can just make out some discoloration from the gasket. Neither I nor the mechanic that performed the December full servicing could find anything wrong with bike, or anything in need of repair or replacement not described below. Here are the highlights of what I had done in December. Full inspection looking for anything in need of repair, replacement, or adjustment.Performed full service Installed a new H-4 high intensity headlightInstalled an LED stop light. You can see it in the photo under the license plate and it is about the size and shape of a cigar. It is the same one the motorcycle cops use in Dallas. When you engage any brake it flashes three times then goes to solid red. It can be adjusted to flash or not flash. The LED is SUPER high intensity. Given the lights of a 1975 bike it is a great add. Easy to take off if you don't want it. Installed new flasher controllerInstalled new bulbs in all turn signals and brake lightCut extra ignition key from original 1975 blankChanged oil filterNew spark plugsSynced carburetors Cleaned carburetors Set ignition points, timing, adjusted valves, adjusted cam chain tensioner, etc. Flushed front forks and replaced fluidLubricated bike Changed all fluids, cleaned and/or replaced all filters, etc.All rubber parts inspected and replaced as needed Basically I instructed the dealership to make sure I had a very dependable and strong running bike. Check out the paint job. It was repainted about 5 years ago and it is stunning. Because I actually ride this bike I can not call it "flawless". You can either continue to ride it or it would be very easy to stop riding the bike and make it a museum bike. It is as described and as shown in the photos. If you have questions ask, but the answer will likely be it ain't broke and it is stock. If I don't sell the bike it is my intention to ride it from Dallas to Phoenix and back before it gets to hot and then list it again when I return. Thanks for looking. You will enjoy riding this head turner. On Mar-29-13 at 07:33:57 PDT, seller added the following information: It is supposed to be a nice Easter Weekend so I may ride the bike locally and put a few more miles on it. I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell the bike locally.
