I was going to keep this car forever. Bought at police auction in 2010 with 108,000 miles. August of 2011 had transmission rebuilt $$$. Back to trans shop during warranty for hard shifting. Now 2,000 miles out of warranty trans craps out. Drive and first just slip. Can be driven (not sure how far- probably not far) in 2nd and 3rd. Engine runs good but check engine light is on (supposedley lean bank one- accrording to Advance Auto parts code read). Can't justify the $$$$$ to rebuild the trans again. Since I bought it I put in an Optima battery, and replaced alternator, starter, water pump, front wheel bearings, inside tie rod ends. Has K&N cold air intake. Have original air cleaner system and a K&N filter for that too. Factory manuals. Spare parts, including several Fram oil filters, a trans filter and gasket set, etc. I hate to get rid of it. Please take it and let me finish grieving. Steering wheel has a gouge from its prior police service. I installed a console to fill the space between the seats. Antenna holes were filled and the black and white was repainted midnight blue. Body has normal door dings. Driver seat is crunched down a bit from all the years of police service. I ran synthetic oil since I bought it.
