Vehicle Detail

If you want a rare and unique hot rod that gets attention everywhere you go, this is the ride for you. This is a turn key hot rod that passes VA safety inspection and is licensed as a daily driver. It was and unfinished project I bought 3 1/2 years ago and finished with my teenaged daughter. She is going off to college and needs a more practical ride. Here's the low down on the work that's been done. ENGINE/TRANS/EXHAUST Engine is a 351Windsor HO motor that was rebuild in Sept 2011. 9:1 flattop pistons, erson cam, weiand stealth manifold, Edelbrock 600cfm w/elec choke. Cal Custom finned valve covers. New Zirgo 16" 3000CFM electric fan. New Northern Hot Rod 20x20 aluminum radiator. C-6 Automatic transmission w/stock column shifter. Trans recently serviced. New balanced driveshaft with new U-joints. Mustang shorty headers that feed 2.25" dual exhaust with H pipe and magnaflow mufflers that exit out the rear. SUSPENSION/CHASSIS 1954 was Ford's first ball joint car and is well overbuilt. Has a "drop n stop" front disc brake conversion with Ford Granada 11" rotors and1.5" dropped spindles. New master cylinder and brake booster. Stock new Ford aerostar coils springs up front, monroe shocks all around. New upper and lower control arm bushings and ball joints. Car rides like new with no rattles. Fatman fab. power rack and pinion steering. Stock style 15" steelies with 205 buffed whitewalls. Rear end is stock with new leaf spring bushings, shackles and lowered 2". ELECTRICAL/INTERRIOR New 21 circuit ez wiring harness kit installed. New oil press and temp gagues mounted behind factory bezel. New two-speed electric windshield wiper motor/switch conversion kit. Digital gas gauge with new sender. Upholstery is white pleated vinyl over stock seats. Door panels, rear panels, and rear package tray all covered. Carpet is gold. Interior trim is painted cooper like the roof. Has shoulder harnesses up front (2) and lap belts (3) in the back seat. New 2-speed aftermarket underdash heater. 2 layers of sound deadener over the floors, sound deadening carpet pad. If the mufflers are too loud for you, no worries because the stereo is louder. Has a pair of JL amps with 2 pair of polk audio 6.5's in custom kick panels. 8" polk sub under custom vent in rear package tray, all controlled through ipod or mp3 player with sub/master volume controls. BODY New tinted windsheild, vent windows, side glass. Side glass is tempered. New windshield and rear window rubber. All new window channels, felt anti-rattle kit with new division bars. This car has no rattles. New door seals and wind lace. New trunk seal as well. Now the bodywork and paint. Car was from Oklahoma and pretty solid. The paint and body work was done by the previous owner and the quality is not the best. Certainly not show, but looks good from 10'. It's about 4 years old and is showing flaws. The drive side door has some creasing where my daughter "hip checked" the door to close it. There is some bubbling on the driver side rocker, front fender and rear quarter aft of the wheel well. Trunk is solid. The chassis had heavy undercoating and appears solid underneath. There is some damage to the right front body mount cross member but all mounts are solid with no rust. No major dents. Passenger side rock panel has some damage from when the car was transported on a flatbed. Some dings from driving it. Door handles were shaved and the driver door is actuated mechanically through the factrory lock mechanism. Side trim is shaved, hood nosed. Has 61 Olds taillights. Paint is Hot Rod flatz champagne metallic with a custom mix cooper roof. The door jams, trunk and under hood were not painted and show the origianl color. I've describe the work and condition the best I can. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to canx the auction if sold locally. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipment.
