              1955 Chevy Bel Air     Up for sale is a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. This is the first year for new styling in power for the bel air. It was called the "Hot One" in GM's advertising. This was the first year for the new V8 engine. It has the 265 cu in with a modern overhead valve high compression, long stroke design that was so good that it remained in production in various forms for decades. The current owner last year had the engine pulled and totally went over with new parts and has been bored 30 over. Its has everything new except the crank shaft. Its got new pistons, rods, cams, ect. It also has a new water pump, fuel pump, hoses, rebuilt starter, new heater blower motor. It also has the original oil bath and generator. It is the original engine, transmission for this car. It has been restored many many years ago with some new paint and such. The paint is enamel. It doesn't have power steering or power brakes those were not added. The brakes are real good though, it shifts out great and has no issues. It is very mechanically sound and would drive anywhere. It has had new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearings. It has the 3 speed tranny with the column shifter. The car also has matching fender skirts that come with it. It has dual pipes. Interior is in great shape as you can see from the pictures. The radio does not work but all the gauges in the car work. The car doesn't have any rust. As i said before it runs and drives great and will go anywhere. It has the original hub caps. The mirrors are not original that are on it. The owner didn't like the originals so he replaced them with the ones on the car now. He does have the original mirrors and they will go with the car. As you can see from the trunk its the original spare and jack. If you are in the market for a bel air don't let this beauty pass by.
