1978 SUZUKI RM 125~In storage for years~ a 35 Year old time capsule ~A True California Barnfind Up for bid is a 1978 Suzuki RM-125 that can best be described as a show like quality. This is a collector grade classic. This bike was restored some years ago and is as close to new as you will find in a 35 year old dirt motorcycle that was originally designed to be a race bike. The Suzuki RM is an iconic name that was built for one purpose which was racing and was very competitive. The majority of pre-owned race bikes have been used up and are long gone You cannot go into a SUZUKI dealer and buy this bike It is rare to see such a classic bike in this condition. The bike was stored in a climate controlled environment which has been preserved wonderfully and made it very easy to restore. I am not exactly sure of how long ago but the owner as I was told completely went through this bike. All of the aluminum from the forks to the swing arm to the wheels have been polished to a chrome like finish. This bike looks better in many respects than it did new. Mechanically she runs very well and fires right up and runs very strong. The engine still has what looks to be original paint with a few minor nicks but overall very clean and very powerful. The transmission shifts well in every gear.
