This is a numbers matching original one owner survivor 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback from Southern California. It is an original F code 302 C4 Mustang and it still has its original engine, transmission, and rear end. Original Q code Blue Metallic color with Blue interior. Matching dash vin, door sticker vin, fender vin, and metal data plate vin. Factory power brakes and steering. It was put in storage in the 70's and removed last summer after sitting hidden away inside for over 30 years. The body panels, frame, floor and trunk are all original and rust free. Perfect torque boxes, shock towers, all frame rails and connections, zero surprises. The panel fitment is perfect and original, it has never been taken apart and the doors, hood, and trunk open and close like new. In 2012 it was taken to a high end automotive service center here in San Diego and fully restored mechanically to the tune of $11,022 (complete detailed receipts shown and included). The original owner, after ordering all the work to be done, sadly passed away. It was just picked up from the shop with the balance paid in full on 3/7/2013 and is now being offered with no reserve. Safe, ready and happy to drive away if you win it. The interior is in amazing survivor condition. The seats have no damage and show hardly any wear at all. It shows 31k miles and it has been sitting since the 70's but I have no way to confirm the odometer never rolled over in the 70's. The carpet was changed in the 70's and it had a Grant GT steering wheel put in, otherwise cosmetically it is original. The headliner looks new, as does the dash and gauges. Glass is perfect. The transmission has a stall converter and the original 302 is built up including stainless headers/exhaust and internal upgrades. It was built to be FAST and reliable, and it runs/drives outstanding. All new Cooper Cobra tires on new Cragars (bought in 2012). I have the original pink slip, both blue license plates, and all the original keys. It had nearly every single thing redone to make it a driver that is better than new mechanically. Fully rebuilt brakes, suspension, steering, motor, transmission, electrical, everything was sorted out. Gauges, lights, indicators, wipers, everything works. It is safe and ready to drive. The paint has some scratches on the sides from sitting in storage for the last 30 years and items moving in and out, as well as a couple very small blisters on the lower corner about 2 or 3 inches from the edge on the door, and NO where else. Original hood molding is included as well as the rear seat belt assemblies, everything else is installed. This Fastback is as good as it gets. Located in San Diego, California.
