Vehicle Detail
1974 Suzuki TM400 Cyclone Vintage Motocross Dirt Bike Here we have for sale a very nice original 1974 Suzuki TM 400 Cyclone vintage motocross dirt bike for sale. The TM is in excellent un-restored condition. The bike has never been raced before and looks like it does not have much time on it. I believe the last time it was actually ridden was in the 80's from the registration sticker on the rear fender. I have never taken the bike on dirt, I only rode it up and down the street a few times and had it on display for the remainder. The bike still has the complete and working oil injection system on it. That makes it much nicer to not have to mix your gas. The original gas tank is very nice with not a single ding, dent or anything. It amazing its in such nice shape for being a motocross bike. The original pip and silencer are original with only a few minor dents on the bottom of the pipe. Nothing major. I put brand new IRC vintage style motocross tires and new tubes on the bike when I got it. Like I said, I have never taken the bike on dirt so the tires are still brand new. I replaced the fork seals in the front forks and put all new oil in them. The clutch works great and shifts in and out of gear smoothly. I believe the seat and cover are original with no tears in the seat cover. The original front number plate is chipped and has a crack in it, but the rubber mount is still there and nice. There is a scratch in the paint on the front fender. The cases and frame so wear marks but that is usual on this old of a vintage motocross bike. The handlebars, controls and grips all look to be original OEM parts. The aluminum triple clamps and front forks have some very light oxidation over time. This is one powerhouse of a dirt bike and that is what the Cyclones were always know for. Some people refer to them as the "widow maker." Once the powerband hits, hang on! Do not miss your opportunity to bid on this wonderful clean example of American motocross grassroots racing. This bike is were motocross all started. I have the original Suzuki TM 400 owner manual and compression release for the bike too. I also found so OEM style clutch and front brake that are new in the package that I will include in the sale. I do NOT have a title on the bike, I had to check the box so I could list the bike. Again, I do not have a title. I will be able to store the bike for the prospective buyer for an appropriate amount of time so shipping arrangements can be made. I can sure help out anyway possible to make the shipping process easier. Please contact me with any and all questions you might have before bidding on the bike. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!!
