I have a 1974 FJ 40 that is just getting the finishing touches on a frame off restoration. This was originally a factory softtop model - now has hard top. It has a 1970 F engine installed that has about 50,000 miles on it. Carb has been re-built. Has a 3 speed floor shift transmission. It has a 4" Skyjacker custom lift, front disc brakes, custom front and rear bumpers and power brakes. The entire vehicle was sanded to bare metal. Has very little bondo - was finished like it was when new - with riveted areas visible, etc. I did not want to cover the whole vehicle with filler. Frame was in excellent condition. Body had very little rust. Looks great. It is also equipped with an original front mat, later model tilt wheel, front and rear heat, new gas tank, complete new exhaust, new headliner, new seats, mirrors, windshield glass, weatherstripping, etc. It has 12" wide, 15" Alcoa aluminum, one piece wheels with 35-14.50-15 Mickey Thompson Baja Belted white letter tires with good tread. Frame and tub are matching numbers. Everything works as it should. This is a really nice restoration of a very good original FJ40.
