Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro, 350 , Holley 4 barrel, Edelbrock Perormer intake, 4 speed, 12 bolt posi rear end with 4.11 gears, factory air conditioning (no compressor currently in car), power steering, drum brakes, BF Goodrich TA's on 15" Ralleys, Flowmaster exhaust, new battery and new fuel pump. The engine is supposed to be from a 1975 Corvette. The car is in what I would call good driver quality condition. The cowl tag was removed before I got the car. All glass is in good shape, chrome looks good and the interior is pretty nice. The paint color is 89 Iroc blue and has some chips, a couple of scratches and some bubbles. The bubbles appear to be imperfections in the base surface rather than rust. I opened up one of the bubbles and there was no apparent rust under the bubble. I also talked to a guy that has quite a little body work experience, and he said he thought the bubbles were from something under the paint other than rust. The car really does look good from 10' away. There are a couple of small surface rust spots at the bottom of the doors that are smaller than a dime and there is evidence of past surface rust in the trunk. Otherwise, the body is very solid and straight. At least one rear quarter panel (left)was replaced in the 90's during a prior restoration. I have some photos of the previous restoration that will go with the car. The car runs and drives good but the engine could use some tuning up as the choke isn't hooked up and it's cold blooded. With minimal effort and very little additional investment, it could be a very nice driver or it could be the basis for an easy restoration. I have had the car for 7 years and have done very little to it because of a lack of time. I was going to turn it into a pro touring or resto mod car, but I have lost interest and it is time for it to have a new home. Call me with questions or if you would like to view the car at 785-534-2591. A $500.00 deposit payment is required via PayPal within 48 hours of end of auction. On Feb-26-13 at 20:42:02 PST, seller added the following information: I've had several questions about the engine. It has a T1213CKW code on the front right block pad and casting mark of L 11 72 on the block rear. Not an expert, but it appears to be a Corvette, 4 speed block of 1972 vintage. The heads are 461 castings. On Mar-02-13 at 06:55:39 PST, seller added the following information: The title for this car is clear and has just recently been sent in to the State to transfer into my name. When I bought the car 7 years ago, I put it in a shed and only got it out once a year or so to start it, and subsequently I never got the title transferred into my name. The title is being processed as urgent priority and should be in my hands next week or the following week according to the court house. Since I have not tagged, insured or driven the car since I've owned it, the lady at the courthouse convinced me to get a "non-highway" title. This isn't a salvage title. She said it was a way for me to get around paying property taxes on the car for the last 7 years, and getting a highway title is no big deal. If this causes any concern to the prospective buyer, I will immediately turn around and get a clear "highway" title in my name (at my cost) for the car just as soon as the title comes in. Sorry for any confusion. I didn't give a great deal of thought to this matter when I went in to transfer the title. Call or email me if you have any questions about this whatsoever.
