Vehicle Detail
I have up for Auction a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. It is an original 6 Cylinder Automatic with console and bucket seats (C16-C55). The car is factory purple (FC7) with white convertible top and white interior (H6XW). The car now has a 383 Big Block 69 model motor, a 727 transmission and an 8 ¾ rear end. The car is titled in Tennessee. This car was purchased approximately 18 years ago with the intentions of restoring. It has set covered and inside my basement since the purchase date. These pictures are the way that the car was when it was purchased, besides a little recent clean up. I have too many other projects going on at this time and unable to start/finish this project. I love this car and really hate letting it go, since it is a hard to find car. However, I would love to see someone restore this car that appreciates a rare find in this type of treasure. The car does need to be totally restored and is a NON running car with some body work required as you can see in the photos. This would be a rare car to restore and make whatever you want out of it. As you can also see in the photos, there are some parts that go with the car, all glass is included. The rear windows were removed, but do come with the car. Trunk floor was missing when the car was purchased. If you have any questions, please message me. I’d be happy to answer any questions that I can. Anyone is welcome to view the car before entering any bids. Please contact me for directions. The location of the car is near Bristol, TN. This car is sold “As Is” and has NO warranty. A $500.00 PayPal deposit required within 48 hours of the Auction ending. The balance would be due in Cash or Wire Transfer within 10 days of Auction ending. Car is local pick up only. Location is near Bristol, TN. Buyer is responsible for shipping and arranging for shipping if required. On Feb-26-13 at 07:37:11 PST, seller added the following information: Just an update of some of the questions that I've had the past couple of days. 1. The fender tag and the dash VIN numbers DO match. 2. This is a NON running car and will need total restoration. Including the motor and transmission. The motor and transmission are NOT the original as indicated in my first post. 3. I really don't know the history of the car before purchasing it approx 18 years ago. It's sat in my garage the entire time covered and out of the weather. The frame seems to be solid and the front finder area has been replaced, indicating to me that it was possibly in a wreck. The dash is not the original, but I do have the original VIN # dash tag. I want to give as much information as I possibly can. If anyone else has any other questions, please feel free to ask.
