1993 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE ROADSTER VERY RARE FACTORY 5-SPEED GETRAG TRANSMISSION - A FANTASTIC DRIVER! THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND IT THE RIGHT COLOR COMBINATION - BLACK WITH TAN INTERIOR. Thanks for looking at this listing. From a Jaguar owner of over 20 years ( XJ6, E-Types, and XJS) I can tell you this is one beautiful, smooth and responsive driver. I currently drive a low mileage '88 XJS coupe, and this '93 is much tighter and much more fun to drive, especially with the super smooth 5-speed. And with the 4.0L Six Cylinder, the maintenance worries of the V12 are gone.THIS IS A RARE CAT, FROM WHAT I HAVE RESEARCHED, ONLY 70 OF THESE 5-SPEED ROADSTERS WERE IMPORTED TO THE USA. THE 5-SPEED TRANNY WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE 1993 AND 1994 MODEL YEARS. IN ALL MY YEARS WITH JAGS, AT SHOWS AND CONCOURS EVENTS, THIS IS THE FIRST XJS 5-SPEED I HAVE EVER SEEN IN PERSON. YOU WILL HAVE BLAST DRIVING THIS CAR! I am listing this car for a friend, and while it is not a low mileage car and is far from perfect, it has had all of the mechanicals and suspension restored, and the rust-free Florida body is super straight with recent repaint. The seats have been redone in the last few years and are excellent, and the wood veneers have also been replaced with new burl walnut veneer. It is a very nice driver, it looks and runs like new. There is no rust, body dings, paints bubbles, etc. There are a few minor small scratches and paint flaws, but this classic is super-straight. You know that a black car shows all imperfections, and you can see in the photos that this roadster has a clean body line. The Engine has a valve rocker tick which is inconsequential, and the mohair convertible top is in very good condition (and little used) but has a few separations at the rear window. Everything is fully operational on this car to my knowledge and from driving the car, but the air-conditioning is currently not operating. The owner is including an additional compressor with the car, as well as the original Jaguar Radio with Cassette Player.
