For Sale - '63 VW 15 Window Deluxe Walk Thru Microbus. This is a very desireable model. A lot more fun than owning "gold", for an investment. I've owned this bus for twenty five years, this year. Hard to believe. I've had it half of it's life. She will turn the big " five 0 " in June. This bus has no engine.It has been parked since 1990, when I pulled the tired "1500" out of her,my daily driver, and drained the gas tank.Unfortunately, it has been sitting ever since...She needs some work to get her back on the road. She was built in June, one month prior to the last " corner window", small rear hatch, German Export bus, that was delivered to the US. This is the first year that the 1500 engine was an option, as well as emergency "hazard" flashers, which this one came with. Originally Beige Grey over Sealing Wax Red paint with Silver Beige interior. Walk-Thru with seven passenger seating, and six "pop out" side windows.Destination - Chicago, USA. All three vehicle ID"s are intact, legible, and corresponding. M Plate: 12 6 424 081 082 114 130 UC 2513 BGRSR Vin # The bus has been several colors, with the current paint being well over 25 years old. The roof has been in primer as well, since i've owned her. She is still mechanically stock - 6V, original suspension,brakes, reduction box transaxle.Original doors Funky Cool Camper Kit included Has five original 4.5" x 15" date stamped wheels 6.63 She has some rust and needed body repairs to bring her back to her former glory, as well as interior and paint work, an engine, and so on and so forth. Depending on the level of restoration / refurfishment desired. Since the value on these has been climbing, a full blown restoration is optimal. However, in my opinion, since the VW bus is synonamous with Westfalia and other " after market camper kits", a custom / Westy style interior could be just as amazing, and acceptable as a full stock showroom look. Since this girl is missing the original interior, with exception to the front seats and kick panels, the camper kit sounds like a winner to me. I've seen some nice "kits" out there. Plus having a Vdub bus with a comfortable " home on wheels ", is the pretty darn cool... not to mention practical, if you need a place to sleep. Major Original Items Missing - Deluxe Trim, VW emblems, Engine, Middle/Rear Seats, Headliner, Interior Panels, Complete Rubber Mats,Bumper uprights, plus, Church Key, Tool Kit, misc.etc. Body Repairs needed - Front nose, Front floors,Cargo floor section(section by cargo doors has been replaced w/ plywood before I got it) Rocker panels, Minor dents & dings. Roof & gutters are in good shape(minor repairs needed). A Jack port or 2. Rear hatch & cargo doors have a little rust at the lower extremities.Rear Hatch glass was shot at in '95.
