Vehicle Detail

1984 matching numbers BMW R100 CS Last Edition in excellent, collector condition. It's been ridden and well-cared for. Don't just own the same "S" everyone else has, this one is special. First; it's matching numbers, excellent condition, "Motorsport" color scheme, a CS (Classic Sport), recently serviced, 3rd owner, recent new fork seals and new Odyssey battery (PC680)...This is my best running 247. A classic airhead. Serial number documents it's one of the last 150 to come of the assembly line. Link below can fill in all the technical specs and discusses its strong points. Unlike many other vintage airheads this one will cruise at highway plus speeds all day and night and still be one of the coolest, rarest BMWs to show-up at your local coffee shop or rally. Buy it because it's a BMW a CS and a Last Edition. Only 16,xxx original miles. The pictures don't do this bike justice. Please ask any and all questions, I'm here to help and this bike has to go to the right, new owner...Will assist in shipping and/or local-regional delivery at buyer's expense. BMW MOA and RA member. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/bmw/bmw_r100cs%2082.htm On Feb-21-13 at 08:17:04 PST, seller added the following information: per requests here is pic link http://s539.beta.photobucket.com/user/ROUNDEL1/library/84bmwr100cs also, although i am NOT original owner I believe the paint to be original, i am no expert but own many of these and based on mileage and condition I believe the paint to be original. no known issues. most recent work done per requests; new front brake master cylinder, install gas cap lock, install RH float bowl gasket, R&R front brake master cylinder, bleed lines, R&R fuel lines, repair air injection system, change engine oil and filter (20w50), adjust valves, carbs and sync and clean float bowls. On Feb-24-13 at 09:18:58 PST, seller added the following information: Ok quick update; 133 people watching and 1,462 views. A couple of new pics just took showing the very minor damage on either side of the gas tank. From one of the BMW "experts" who has offered up probably from improperly installed RS bars, easy fix. Full and fair disclosure. I am in contact with the two highest bidders and no issues. But for all the others wanted to get some current pics. For all the other "experts". The bike is as shown...no luggage, no additional seat(s), yes it has the Last Edition certificate from the factory and there is a pic in original ad. I hope this helps. Again, perfect ebay feedback. I have two people scheduled from out of state coming to look at bike in next few days, so if it doesn't sell here I'm certain it will with one of them...Please, I won't share reserve but you can guess it's lower than my BIN...On Feb-25-13 at 08:33:06 PST, seller added the following information: Ok another update. For those that have inquired about shipping, yes I will help. For a bike that is paid for I can keep it for a reasonable amount of time. I have bought and sold many bikes on ebay and as my feedback denotes I am very accomodating. I will work with your shipper. However, for the one guy who asked if I can get the bike to Forward Air in Long Beach, I'm sorry that seems a little unrealistic. I'm happy to work with the international bidders who have inquired. I have found for the few bikes I have purchased internationally it's best to use the local BMW dealer. Shipping is always cheaper business address to business address. But if you are the winner I will work with you and your forward freight company but cannot deliver bike outside of my local area, (metro phoenix). Unless, we agree in advance on some special arrangements. Again, I am happy to help. To clarify an earlier posting, assume the bike has the incorrect RS bars, I own many RS and S' and I cannot tell if this accurate. But the LH side bar with the turn signal stalk does on full-lock come in contact with the gas tank, again an easy fix. Also, recently had the forks redone and new seals. Several of you have inquired about the bikes road worthiness, i.e. Hey I'm coming from Florida for a fly and ride can the bike make it back? I consider the bike to be in excellent mechanical shape and wouldn't hesitate tomorrow taking it cross country, but, of course, I cannot guarantee a problem-free cross country ride. No one can. I hope this helps. Thanks for all your interest.
