Vehicle Detail

One owner. This is a very clean original 1965 Pontiac LeMans. My dad ordered this car from Arnold Wiebe's dealership on Main St, in Visalia, CA, and took delivery on May 11, 1965 (I was a passenger in the maiden voyage home). Dad was a mechanic, and he maintained her weekly. Four factory-installed seatbelts (dad had been a CHP, so insisted) Original AM radio and LeMans grab bar Flawless headliner Original factory floormats have protected the carpet since day one Original upholstery, front & back, is flawless (no rips) except for some driver's seat un-stitching (*NO* tearing) Original (overhauled in early 2000s... low miles) 326 V8 runs strong and smooth. Glass packs sound great. Original (overhauled in late 1990s) 2-speed automatic transmission Floor pans are sturdy and sound (not rusted through) The rubber around the doors is shot and should be replaced Factory drum brakes Factory power steering Factory dual exhaust has been maintained (and replaced as necessary) Custom wheels Original jack, tire iron, and spare wheel are in the trunk on the original hounds-tooth vinyl. Dad installed the AC from his 1957 Chrysler (not working). He also installed the usual 6"x9" speaker in the rear window well (AM radio is not working). In the early '80s, he installed after-market gauges. In about 2009, he bought custom wheels that resembled the original wheel covers. Meticulously repainted to match original. Minor body work on the driver-side-rear from a parking lot fender-bender (there is a very small Bondo crack). It drives even better than it looks. Dad loved this car, it is an extraordinary find for someone who wants to keep it as is, or someone who wants to perfect it.
