Vehicle Detail

This is a Preppers Dream! You are looking at a 1978 International Scout Traveler. Equipped with a 345 V8 and 4x4 there's nowhere this thing can't go. As Scouts go, this thing is in decent shape. There is some rust but compared to a lot of scouts that you'll see it's not as bad. I've done my best to get every rust area in pictures. It has two bucket seats and a bench in the back. It would be a perfect mud toy, restoration project OR hunting vehicle. There are some newer parts on it including exhaust (from mufflers back - TRUE dual), newer poly 33 gallon gas tank, newer fuel pump, new battery and a brand new shifter cable. I put plugs and wires on it a few years back, but it hasn't been driven much since then. It has a fiberglass top, hatchback and lock out hubs. It does have factory AC, but there is no belt on the compressor, and since I bought it that way I don't know what it will take to make it work. It has sat for a bit at the place, so it does need a little shot of ether to start it. After it warms up it runs ok, but a good tune up would do wonders. Here is what I know is mechanically wrong with it: power steering fluid leaks (not sure if it's a hose or the unit itself) minor break fluid leak exhaust leak (near the engine block - the exhaust is new from the mufflers back) needs a solid tune up (carb clean etc.) from sitting too long Drivers window seems a little tight rolling up and down Rust areas: Floorpans, rockers and wheelwells. The bed area has some surface rust (and small patches that are completely through). There is a little damage on the driver's rear quarter, but it's not severe. I have a 100% clean and clear Missouri title for the scout - another rarity. It lived out west for a number or years. It does need some work but if you're handy or looking to restore one, look no further. I'd love to hang on to her but she's gotta go. 500.00 deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction required via Paypal. You are responsible for shipping/pickup. Happy bidding!
