Vehicle Detail

This is a great opportunity to get your increasingly rare two stroke street bike with a No Reserve sale! A 1975, was manufactured in 12/74 and has only 6090 original miles and the much sought after double shoe front brake! This model is VERY popular on the vintage racing circuit due to it's great handling, very high torque and the ability for this engine to be hopped up to make very serious power! We all know how expensive the Kawasaki triples have become and the Suzuki's are well on the way to costing that much too! This 1975 T500 was found several years ago, carefully covered and it shows. This bike is in very good condition for a typical "barn find" as most of them are covered in rust and locked up. The seat as you can see is in perfect condition and it still has the original air box and coveted air boot! This looks to be in 100% ORIGINAL CONDITION!! I hooked a battery charger to the battery leads(one is broken) and tried everything out and amazingly, EVERYTHING WORKS, even the horn! The turn signals blink (both sides), both beams of the headlight work perfectly, the brake light works, the neutral light even works. Here's the very best part, I pulled the spark plugs and connected the sparkplug leads and kicked the engine and BOTH SPARK PLUG FIRE!! That means, with a simple carb cleaning to get the varnish out, this engine will RUN! I tried to take good, detailed pictures so you can see the exact condition but with pictures, there must always be a description so yes, some of the chrome has some rust and much of it looks very nice, some of the paint is bubbled on the right side of the gas tank but the rest of the tank, sidecover and oil tank look great and just need a coat of wax to protect them. The tank has some rust and Im not sure if it can be swished out and used as it is or if it will need to be sealed as I just haven't had the time to really check it out. I would love to keep this bike but having just finished a basement project that needs a place in the garage. This bike comes with a bill of sale and I've used Vermont to get titles before, then transferred them to my state. You'll be able to do the same thing and it's much less expensive then using a title company but the title companies can get you a title faster so it's your choice. I will help with shipping but cannot crate it for you since when it comes to wood, I'm lost. I have also used two different companies for shipping across the country and one for international shipping so I can recommend them for the winning bidder. I will also help load the bike if the new owners drive over and needs help loading it. Of course there is no warranty but if you're looking to buy a vintage machine, then you already know that. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is due through paypal within 24 hour of the end of the auction with the balance to be paid via overnight cashiers check, or cash of course works best! I've never been to Nigeria, don't expect to go and have no desire to help anyone get 2 million dollars out of the country so please don't waste your time with scams. I got off the boat a long time ago! You know the deal, I'll help you as much as I can but pay for it if you win, it's as easy as that. On Feb-19-13 at 03:41:10 PST, seller added the following information: 2/19/13- I just wanted to add that I've been told that this is a numbers matching bike. The frame has a different number then the engine but was told that makes no difference since they are only 280 digits apart. Also, the pics seem to look better then the bike to me but my GF come over last night and first looked at the bike for several minutes, then looked at the listing and said no, the pics represent the actual bike. Since she has helped me restore other bikes, I value her opinion. Just wanted to give everyone the heads-up!
