1970 BMW R60/5 ,Mileage at 76,200 currently ..I am breaking in the motor due to a rebuild done by BMW in Reno,nv. Bike has a 5 speed rebuilt transmission installed by previous owner. This classic bike is in excellent condition! Here's the history and what I have done and/or had done since owning the bike: Purchased oct. 2012 from the second owner who had it for only 3 months and decided to sell..Original owner's wife sold to him as her husband passed away..He put nearly all the miles on this bike over it's 40+ years life. Bike had no turn signals and the generator/oil lights were not working, along with the horn. Bmw did $2500.00 worth of work as follows: Top end rebuild with new piston rings,seals bearings and gaskets, New handle bar switches(left-high beam/flasher and horn) (right-left-right turn signals and starter button),new horn and wiring,wired generator and oil pressure lights,major tune-up including carbs sinc/points-condenser/plugs and new timing chain. I have done the following: New factory silver paint with blue pin-striping on tank/fenders/battery covers,new NOS aluminum turn signals,rear light bar,seat cover,seat original grab bars, new battery,quick charge trickle battery connection,synthetic oil/filter in motor,trans,drive shaft and final drive,ignition swich cover,left rear view mirror(bmw-low style),euro style new handlebars, (i have the stock high bars if you want),and just a lot of time doing TLC work !! Bike looks brand new and runs perfect..tires are 75%,brakes are 50% and carbs have been rebuilt with all new o-rings,gaskets,etc. Must call me within 24 hours to arrange completion of sale and shipping..$500.00 paypal deposit asap...call me with any questions on this bike.. Also had cylinder heads done by a local machine shop:new guides/valve regrind...cost @ $500.00..On Feb-19-13 at 12:28:25 PST, seller added the following information: The cylinder heads are not on the bike. I purchased a matching set of heads and had the valves re ground and new guides installed. The heads currently on the bike are good...bmw checked when they did the piston rings/cylinder bore and they are in good working condition,no valve or guide leakage.i wanted a spare set to put on in the future,but am selling the bike ,so these heads are a separate transzction not yet posted.If interested let me know..Thanx,Tim...Also have new cylinder head gaskets and exhaust crust gaskets.
