Hello, This 2001 dodge ram 1500 has alot going for it. I purchased it to put a plow on and do my driveway but It hasnt really snowed and I feel someone else could use it. The good for this truck is, The ball joints were just done. The battery was just done. Transmission rebuilt at 94,000 miles(papers on rebuild) to include rebuilt HD torque conv. The air conditioner was repaired in june, expensive compressor part. The Tires are 90%. the bedliner looks nearly new. The whole exhaust system was done-all of it front to back. The power steering lines were just replace with new lines last week. Truck was tuned up with new cap and wires/plugs last year. Interior looks almost new. Never smoked in. The bad, door rust under drivers door, but all door jambs are clean and painted factory, only rust is in the lower door. The transmission just started shifting weird at times? It gets warm and some times wont shift easily like it should other times it performs normally. I took to my transmission guy and was told its the solenoids and or band adjustment. He said its because I dont drive it ever and he said only putting a thousand miles a year on it isnt the best thing for a vehicle. He also stated this vehicle never had the bands adjusted since the rebuild (he did not do the rebuild) He advised me its easy to do and I can do it myself, pull the pan and remove the filter and there they are. However the band adjustment he needed to do. Now, I dont know one damn thing about cars or trucks. I do know I have over three grand in maintenance done in preperation for winter plowing here at my house. I love the truck, the engine is like new, runs like a nascar when you get on it. New exhaust has some rumble to it and sounds great. All power windows work and all seats are like new...carpet like new....headliner looks great and tight, no sagging at all. Four wheel drive is excellent in and out no problems. Floor shift 4x4. No dash lights, truck is nice. I simply have alot of vehicles and dont drive it really at all. two months ago I drove up to the pocono's to visit my dad and mom....truck was flawless at 80 mph. That was my long trip for the year with the truck. I took the truck to the airport today with no shifting issues. The solenoids and a band adjustment are still recommended. I put less than 1,000 miles on the truck in the last year. Someone who loves a dodge truck is going to get a nice truck. The tailgate is white because it is a replacement for the one that was stolen off the truck. Truck was fitted with a brand new boss plow. never used. plow on premises to view. never used it since it was installed. all factory paint and brand new. plow will be sold seperately. However, truck is fitted with the boss frame and wired. Please come look at the truck and take for a drive. Highest bid wins hands down. The dash lights do work as normal. haha sorry, I meant to say there is no service or code lights on. Truck dash lights work normally with running or headlights on. Just wanted to clear that up. Yes, Truck is a four wheel drive, with floor shifter and shifts in and out without a noise...very smooth engagement. Brakes are newer, they get touchy from rust forming and not being used. Service shop told me to drive it once a week to keep the rust, dust off the calipers, and pads. I dont of course, but thats part of why I am selling. I just never use the truck. Yes, starts right up. I had the crank sensor done two weeks ago because I got a code. When I had it in to replace the power steering lines, they told me the crank sensor should be done or I will get no start problems. common with dodge, so I said to do it.
