Alright folks, I had this listed a few weeks ago, but the bids did not meet my reserve. The top bid was $2650, and it was very, very close to the reserve. So I'm relisting with no reserve and a starting bid of $2500. In my original listing I said "This car is rough, but has been in covered storage since 1995. It was driven into its present home but has not been started since. At the time, the convertible top relay system, radio, vacuum door locks, electric windows all worked. All chrome is in good shape.I was going to restore it, but got absorbed in other projects. Now I've lost my ambition. This car is restorable or for use as a parts car. Extra front bumper and extra convertible top relay system, and the Original Maintenance Manual are included. It has rust, but it's all there. Definitely will need some new sheet metal if you decide to restore it." On Saturday, my old friend Mac and I forewent a day of fishing and went down to the shop and started it up. We pulled the plugs, shot some WD-40 in the cylinders, reinstalled the plugs, and it fired right up. We manipulated the top up and down and then I drove it outside. See new photos. Transmission and rear end worked fine. Some windows worked, some didn't. Steering works. Brakes are iffy. Alternator, gages, lights, blinkers, all worked. Did not run air condioning becuase of no belts, but AC pulley turns freely on clutch. Starter strong. Carburetor needs rebuilding. Not sure about the fuel pump because we bypassed it in favor of fresh gas out of a can. Radio comes on but doesn't tune. Wipers don't work. Electric radio antenna does work. I did not check fuses on anything electrical. Car also comes with four boxes of miscellaneous parts, window actuation assembly, many relays, AC compressor. I don't know the condition of any of these but some appear new in plastic bags. Also the original jack and accessories are in trunk. A prior bidder asked about the condition of the trunk bottom. There is some surface rust and some small rust holes in the spare tire well. See photo. Based on the 1991 license plates, I would say that the car has not been driven since then. All four tires hold air long enough to get it on a trailer, three of them for at least a week, one overnight.. And yes, I've got the hubcaps, plus one extra.
