Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1970 Chevelle 454 SS Clone 454 bored .40 over, 350 Turbo Automatic Runs and drives good, lots of power, the back tires don't stand a chance ;) The previous owner changed the dash, so I have no way of knowing the actual mileage This car is NOT as nice as the pictures make it look. It is a good driver and turns alot of heads going down the road, but to be truely nice, it needs full quarter panels and the trunk floor replaced. It has half quarters on it now that I would replace if I were keeping the car. I am posting "before" and "after" pictures because I don't want someone to be surprised after they get the car. I painted the car myself and am not a professional, it was my first attempt. It turned out okay. There is enough paint left to spray the car again and I will send it along with the car. It is Single Stage Uerathane from Summit Racing. The heater box on the firewall is gone as is all of the heater/ac components under the dash. It was this way when I purchased it. As stated earlier, the previous owner changed the dash to an SS style dash and did not replace anything under the dash, meaning the ductwork to the vents and vacuum accesories etc. I re-wired the car with a kit from American Auto Wire, the tailights still need to be done (was going to do this after the trunk floor was replaced), I will send the rest of the wiring kit along also. I put a new wiper switch and remanufactered wiper motor on and still can't get the wipers to work, maybe you will have better luck. The engine is a 454 Big Block that has been bored .40 over. I purchased the engine from a seller on RacingJunk.com, he provided reciepts for the engine that I will send along with the car. It has Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 268 cam. The motor has approx 1500 miles on it. The transmission is a 350 turbo automatic that I purchased from Rossler Transmissions in Girard, Ohio. It is a street/strip trans with a 2800 B&M Stall convertor and a B&M Z-Gate shifter. The Rear End is a 12 Bolt Posi w/ 373 gears. The car is alot of fun to drive, but we are moving and there is no garage to keep it in or finish working on it. The front seats are new, I purchased them from Summit Racing. The carpet is new, also from Summit. All of the SS emblems and SS bumper pad are new. The car is being sold as is where is with no warranty. It has a clear Ohio title. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. $500 deposit due within 48 hrs of end of auction with remaining balance due in 7 days in the form of cashiers check, cash, or bank check. No personal checks unless it clears the bank before pick up. Seller reserves the right to end auction at anytime
