This is a bug that has undergone much of a "restoration". It was taken down to the shell with all windows and rubbers off the car, then repainted. It has Virtually NO rust. I say virtually because in some parts like on very bottom of pan on the outside there is minor surface rust. However no rot. The heater channels are perfect as are the pans ALL brand new seat upholstery with brand new foam underneath. Pans have been rust proof painted and have sound deadening on them. It has a new carpet kit, headliner, and stereo tray. The paint looks great and a bonus is the original color of the car is Vw Blue, which is what I had the paint color matched to. Inside the trunk is the original paint and is in great condition. It has all new trimming on the dash and outside. All new rubber as well. Doors open and shut great as do the trunk and hood. It runs great and I would not hesitiate to drive it anywhere. It has a new sony stereo in it with new pioneer speakers, one below the stereo trak and one mounted in the kick panels. I tried to make the car as original as possible and correct to the year and car. The engine is a 1600 dp and it runs great and starts up every time with a brand new battery to ensure it. It may look a little dirty but don't let that fool you. It just needs a little bit of elbow grease. Body and chassis matching bug with a clean title, its registered, and ready for the road! To ensure that the most accurate pieces of information are shared I will cover the few little things that need to be fixed or need attention. -The emergency brake cable was broken at some point, so it needs a new cable fed through -some of the wiring hasn't been all the way hooked up seeing that I took oof all headlights, brakelights, and turn signals off. ALL wiring is there and original, in great shape by the way. It just needs to be hooked up properly. The front hood and engine compartment havent had rubber installed in channels but is included with the car. the trim around fuel guage is original and hasn't been replaced because I was sent the 65 and earlier trim model where they didnt have a fuel gauge. Some wrinkles are in headliner near base of rear window, however the headliner is brand new, it just needs to be massaged and stretched to be perfect. These are all very minor and I can even have fixed if agreed upon by buyer. Has new Nankang 145s in front, and 185/65s in the rear. The front has 2.5 inch dropped spindles and rear was lowered just a hair. The car sits level and looks perfect. No sagging in rear or so low it scrapes on everything. The car is a blast to drive and will be duly missed.
