Your not getting a perfect car, your getting a car with very nice paint, good mechanically, good strong running engine, good transmission, good rear-end, most new chrome, nice interior, the gauges work. This is a very nice driver quality car, if your looking for a perfect car with all matching numbers and all new parts "keep looking". You will not complain about the paint, it is nice, the top is very good, but not new. The interior is nice, but the instrument cluster bezel is dual as well as some other dash parts and pitts in the chorme. The seats, door panels, carpet and dash pad are good with no rips or worn places "some very minor fading". The glass is clear and all the windows roll up and down good for a Mustang. The car is power steering and the brakes are drums all around (it drives good and stops good to me). The turn signals work, the gas gauge works,the heater core is new, the heater fan blows, the speedometer works, the wipers work. The original radio is not working. The bumpers, door handles and most embelms are new, some of the window trim is pitted. The car is no rust bucket, but has had floor pans "look at the pictures". The underside looks solid to me with the mounts and sub-frame good, but it is a little rusty color metal in places, but no rusty holes or big places with fiber-glass filler. If you want a real beautiful car on the underside you will need to pay more and buy a rotisorie restored car. This is a fun driver, not 100% restored, but it looks good and runs good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TITLE: Clear Title in hand with a VIN that matches. We are a father son operation that works out of my garage, but we have dealers licences, I know what to do on the paperwork. I'm 66 years old and a retired Army helicopter mechanic and technical school instructor. My son is 42 and been restoring cars since he was 13. HISTORY: I bought this car from a friend that does restoration. He painted it and put new bumper on, we did things like rebuild the carb, new valve covers, fix the heater cables, fix a back window that would not roll up. We did not restore the car, we just fixed the main things that needed it. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? "This is not a rust bucket"! It has had floor pans, but the frame and supports look good. Some surface rust like amost all these old cars if its not been covered up with thick under coating. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a 66 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The car has a brillant shine, it looks like Fords candy apple red. No rust bubbles, no dents or dings and the car is straight to look down the sides. My friend painted the car with base coat clear coat paint. A few specs in the paint, but a good paint job. I did not check the door tag code for paint to see if this was and original red car, but the door jambs, lips and undersides are painted red. CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK: Over all the chrome would be considered nice, outside door handles new, the bumpers are new, the emblems new, some of the window trim is pitted. INTEROR: Nice used condition, no worn places, no cracks, some minor fading and the instrument bezel is dull, some of the chrome trim has several pitts. CONVERTIBLE TOP: The top is power operated, its in very good used condition. The back window is a solid type, it is not soft plastic, it is clear, the fold divider is milky. I have a new top boot ordered, I did not get one with the car, it should come in today. GLASS: Good clear glass, the windows roll up and down OK, the windshild has no stone chips and a super faint wiper mark. ENGINE: The engine is a strong running 302 cubic inch, it has no blue smoke, no unwanted nosises and no bad oil leaks. Its a good engine with a 2 barrell carb. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Single exhaust, the pictures show a old muffler, I have put a new one on since I took the pictures. TRANSMISSION: Its a 3 speed automatic that shifts good. REAR-END: No whines or growls, its a 8 inch Ford and not positive traction. BRAKES: Good for drums, they are drums all around. STEERING: Good, the car drives great, it is power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: New American Racing Torque Trust wheels with new radial tires. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work. GUAGES: They work. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! wipers work! HORN is not working! HEATER BLOWER WORKS. RADIO is the original and not working! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good for a Mustang. PANEL FIT: They all fit good for a Mustang, this is not perfect, they were not perfect from the Ford factory. MY OPINION OF THIS CAR!!! The paint is great, it is good mechanical, the top is good, the interior good used condition, the big chrome stuff good, some pitts in window chrome, some very minr fading on the interior, some dull trim on the dash. Its a good deal for the price, its not perfect, but you don't have to start spending lots of money on it. The underside is not beautiful, but no big problems, it has some surface rust on the unpainted metal on the bottom, it old. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!
