If you have been looking for a super nice 56 F100 as I did for a year and a half..LOOK no further..here it is! My main criteria when looking for a 56 F100 was that it HAD to be equipped with a Ford engine/transmission. I’m just funny that way..nothing against Chevy engines mind you..just not in my Ford! I finally found this one out in CA in 2011 from the original builder/restorer. He was the second owner and actually owned the truck for 40 years. I had it transported by enclosed carrier from CA to me here in Georgia. The truck is all steel and had a professional frame up rebuild about 7 years ago, after which, it mostly sat (covered) in his garage due to health issues with the owners wife. It only had 1855 miles on it when I purchased it and now still has under 4,000 miles since the build. It needed very little when I got it with the exception of a tune up due to lack of use. The paint was about 10 years old and in good shape but not necessarily “show” quality paint in my view. Since I purchased the truck specifically to show I had the exterior repainted early last year. Even before the repaint it never failed to place in a car show..winning numerous Best Truck/Ford awards. Last year among many awards It took a Top Ten at the big Hot August Night 2012 Summit Car Show which had over 200 entries. As the pictures indicate the truck is a judge "pleaser" with just enough flash without being overdone. It is a great driver and has not been on a trailer since I got it. Therefore, it has a few minor paint imperfections from driving on the highways that would not show in a photo/video. I now would like to get a Shelby GT500 but don’t have the garage space for both so I’m offering it For Sale at this time. Not looking to trade or finance so please don’t ask. Any and all other questions are welcome though. I do not at the present time have a “buy it now” price as I would prefer to let the auction run and see how it goes.
